Good morning, Lurkers!
Good morning, Sara and Dale! Dale, glad you got through the storms alright.
I wish I had more time to read. I have a lot of books on my Kindle app on my tablet. I get a freebie every month from Amazon Prime, and I always try to pick one.
This morning, off to LaGrange VA for my physical, then back to work.

I've been too mobile over the past 17-18 years, and finally had to give up my huge collection of paperbacks. I received an e-reader for Christmas a few years back and it's been a joy. Now I can collect books again without worrying about whether I can find room for the collection.

Do need to think about replacing the e-reader soon. It's an ancient thing, still runs on Gingerbread, and it turns itself off at rather odd times. I look at these Amazon sales every now and then, think about pulling the trigger on a new device, and decide I can spend the $$ elsewhere. One of these days, it's going to bite me in the rear end when the e-reader finally croaks.

My tablet is getting old and it's really slow. One of these days, I might just get an actual Kindle just for my books. I've got too many books here at home to collect real ones anymore, so electronic books are perfect for me. I just need the time to be able to read them now.

It's funny, but if I go to bed and try to watch tv or read, I'm out within 5 minutes. Just can't lay down and do any reading or watching. Even in my front room sitting in my recliner, I'm OK unless I recline, then I fade within minutes.

Good morning Sara, Paul and retired

Just fine Sara although I am wondering about Hot Springs Village where all the rich retirees live, they had a tornado warning but I'm not sure if there was a touch down or not
Mt. Pine too, just 7 miles from us.

    Good morning lovely lurkers.

Looks like the storms won't be here until this afternoon...I don't mind the rain, but hoping we don't get anything too severe.

OBG, that's really creepy...I would have been checking it out along with "my little friend" ;)

You do seem to have a lot of strange happenings
Ain't that the truth move to the country if you want peace and quiet they said :laugh:last time I checked that little boy was being raised by his GM and the mother was in jail for trying to kidnap him from the child care place and assault on a few workers there:unsure:

    Good morning all.

Dale, glad you didn't have any storm problems, sure hope the areas you mentioned didn't either.
...I didn't see you like my follow up post about the newspaper building stinking...
Maybe you haven't read back since last night...
It's a kind of impressive building, for a small town, but it really stinks inside of old building, old newspaper, and ink.

We had rain, but nothing woke me up, and since I sleep so light, can't imagine we had much of anything at all.
    I hear thunder now.

Angel, stay safe. Hope they won't be bad. :nun:

Paul, hope your appointment goes well today. :)

Oh OBG, that would scare the crap out of me!!
Dogs are good company at times like that too. :)

I'd love a place down a side country road, with a big porch, (and chickens)...but since DH is often gone one night a week, I'd be scared to stay by myself, even with a little friend...and a dog.

I grew up out in the country, it's amazing all the little "outside (creepy) noises" there are.

At least here, there are enough nosey neighbors that not much would happen without a witness.

...someday I'll get back out in the country. :)
