    Good morning all.

Dale, glad you didn't have any storm problems, sure hope the areas you mentioned didn't either.
...I didn't see you like my follow up post about the newspaper building stinking...
Maybe you haven't read back since last night...
It's a kind of impressive building, for a small town, but it really stinks inside of old building, old newspaper, and ink.

We had rain, but nothing woke me up, and since I sleep so light, can't imagine we had much of anything at all.
    I hear thunder now.

Angel, stay safe. Hope they won't be bad. :nun:

Paul, hope your appointment goes well today. :)

Oh OBG, that would scare the crap out of me!!
Dogs are good company at times like that too. :)
    Good morning Lori

I "liked" it this morning

Glad to hear you didn't have really bad weather :)

I've been thinking about another German Shepard the last one did a fine job of keeping strangers out of the yard :D
I saw an article last week. They'd interviewed home robbery/invasion convicts and asked what *really* deterred them.
They ranked a dog #1, before home security systems, or fear of an armed homeowner.
    I thought that was interesting.

Maybe I was there before you...no worries.

I have to be really careful, it doesn't always show the newest post, sometimes it misses one.

That's what I keep seeing :thumb:

However the older I get the less fearful I seem to be :?:

...okay, guess I'll tell y'all how my night ended last night.
About 10 to 10, DH comes up and says he's going to bed.
I finished reading the blog post I was in the middle of, got up and took Rita out.
As I was coming in, I let in a fly.
Not just a little fly, one of those that is about as big as a Lima bean, and sounds like a small airplane...
I grab the flyswatter, chase it all over the kitchen, it finally lands...in the area above the kitchen cabinets...ugh.
Well, where it landed I have glassware, DH plays in an annual golf tournament, each year they give you 4 new pieces of (nice) barware...snifters, rocks glasses, etc.
So, this *censored* fly lands up there...
I get the kitchen chair over there, have to get up on the counter, trying to roust this fly...in my pj's, robe, slippers, etc...thinking this was a good way to fall and break a hip.

As predicted, I get up close enough, and he's off.
By this time, I've swatted (and missed) a few times, and DH is heckling me from the bed. :lol::lol:

...the chasing goes on for almost 10 minutes...of course, DH inquires if I need help....

I finally *get it*, and by the time I get to bed, I'm absolutely wide awake.

...never a dull moment around here.

Here's the blog post I'd read last night.
This is the blog by that author I've mentioned.
The one I just loved her autobiographies, and her travel journal...and her cookbooks...

Well, I've been (back) reading her blog, I started at the oldest posts in the archives, and have been working my way forward.

This was a really funny one from last night...
Margot Datz | Susan Branch Blog

It just cracks me up, because this is so typical of how we women are.
DH and I actually had a similar experience, and even 20 some years later, I can't help but have a giggle fit thinking about it....

...anyhoodles, just thought I'd share. :)

That might be the stuff that went through here at 4:30 AM kind of loud it was :nah:

2 out of 3 here for now :D
That would be my guess. :)
I just looked at the radar, we're getting just the very edge of it, it's barely even raining.
Poor DH is delivering equipment up to Champaign, IL and then coming back this afternoon...he's going to prob be in it both ways...there, and back. :nah:

Yep, I need to go eat, get dressed, and I guess...go to the basement. :nah:
Finish sorting through that mess I made in the guest room...
