Beckdg, I can personally attest that better cookware doesn't mean that you can actually cook.

Didn't try it yet but my gooey buttercake came out ok :)

    Nice
    Cool :)

Joey tell GF if she builds the fire on one side and puts ribs on other side they smoke better but it takes longer, and if you put the grill handle hole over the fire you can add wood as it cooks :)
Yeah in that pic she didnt have the pan in yet LOL We re-arranged it when the pan was put in, she was working when she started it and got rushed :D I will post a finished pic later I got to run out for a bit.

Oh yeah, that would be heavy :?: Bet you don't move it much ;)

Haven't been home to move it.

But I could manage if need be.

I'm no record breaker, but pretty strong.

But you're right, I sure don't want to.

    That's okay.

All I have in my home is a 1.3 cubic foot fridge and a $25 microwave...

My house (wife and kids home) is a different story.

Wife's pretty good at baking and cooking from a recipe.

Getting better at cooking from scratch too.

    Could be a LOT worse

She keeps my fridge full of food saver vacuum sealed meals.

Plus she cooks according to everyone's dietary needs for the most part.

Staying ketogenic, low sodium, all natural, heavily organic, no grains, milk or wheat and cooking for cardiovascular health and diabetes at every meal... while keeping it tasty... is no small feat.

    So I can't complain.

I'm happy to supply a kitchen full of top notch small appliances and cookware to accommodate all that.

If I may make a suggestion... The Complete America’s Test Kitchen TV Show Cookbook 2001-2017

This cook book is amazing. Every recipe goes into full detail about how and why to take each step to give a full understanding.

Simple recipes with the least amount of ingredients and work possible to make amazing, complex looking meals.

And every recipe we've tried has been a hit.

If you only have 1 cookbook, this should be it.

My brother-in-law recently visited for a week.

The only appliance this guy can use correctly is the microwave.

I got him on the phone and convinced him he should surprise his sister by preparing dinner for the family.

He was surprised he was able to make a full chicken dinner with veggies and dessert without a hiccup AND enjoy it.

Even found a recipe for Sangria to pair with his savory chicken.
