It is so hot here too...92, but feels like 104!...No way am I going out in that...I hear ya on the getting into the car being pure misery...still haven't gotten my AC fixed, so when the sun is out it just will not put out cold air...I sweat just going the short distance to home...hoping to get it checked out this weekend.

I've never just sent her out alone. I always go out with her.
She can't do the two steps, up sometimes, but never down.
We have a REALLY BIG owl that hangs around, I don't know if it would try to get her, I don't think it could carry her off, but it could definitely hurt her if it attacked her...plus, she can't see that well, so I make sure she doesn't end up in the pool.
Not sure if you saw it when I posted, but she fell down the basement steps a couple weeks ago.
She didn't get hurt, thankfully. She just can't see well and she turned to run into the kitchen, but didn't turn enough and Supermanned off the top step. I don't think she even landed until the 3rd or 4th step, then like a sledder without a sled went the rest of the way down. Thankfully it wasn't nose over tail, or log rolling. I think that would have ended badly for her.
