I've heard of that too.

My nephew and his wife said that ALL produce gets sprayed before transport, even if it's organic.
Nephew and his wife said it's pretty much the law, because of invasive and or dangerous insects.
(they were into super healthy eating for several years)

The produce guy at Dierbergs said no, if it's organic, it's not been sprayed.
...so, I don't know which to believe, just passing on what's been discussed in my family. :)

I was following Customs and Border Patrol for awhile on Twitter. They would spot check, all sorts of shipments and post pics of stuff that got caught and refused at the border.
Before Valentine's Day, they were inspecting flowers.

My nephew was telling me about a You Tube documentary/video about bananas, and to only buy organic bananas because in all these third world countries where they grow the bananas, the people who work the fields (banana farms) live all along the edges of the farms, the crop dusters come in and spray and don't care if little kids are in the yard or not.
He said the guy doing the documentary was showing how sick the kids were, and how some had birth defects.
I didn't go look for it, his descriptions were enough for me.

Organic bananas aren't that much more expensive, so I do buy them when I have the choice. :)
...if we knew half the *real* stories out there regarding our food supply, we'd prob have a hard time eating much of it. :(

I'll bet!!

That's just awful about those poor kids. :( I think you are right about the food.

Apples are safe,I think :D
Oh phewww, my least favorite fruit is safe ;) I do try to eat a couple every few weeks though since they are good for you.

Thanks ;) I had back pain for months and as stupid kids do, I ignored it. Until it got so bad that I tossed my cookies every time I ate. Ended up in the ER.

Girl, you better get something to eat Or those ribs won't last past today.
I got another hour or so in me, I'm sure I'll be eating ;)

I always look them over real good before they go in the cart, the produce lady at our market told me grapes are another good place to find spiders(black widow's)said they find them all the time
Oh! Well, those will get DH since I don't eat them

Yep, yep and YEPPPP! Gallbladder attacks are WORSE than childbirth!!

I did have a stone in the duct, they did an endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography or ERCP (scope down throat) and removed the stone. Then about a week later I keeled over in the Home Depot in so much pain, ended up in the ER again and walla, they removed the gallbladder and appendix too for good measure.

    Apples are safe,I think :D
Oh good, I eat those :D

Leads me to think they're NOT all previously sprayed.

I felt like I could've been having a child last night!
I don't think I could eat anything if I had one in the duct though.
I am at the point now that the really uncomfortable pain is subsiding, for the most part.
Now it's just sporadic, but still enough that it's uncomfortable, just not near like last night.

    Worms. :D

I forgot to say, the tests that I had to do first were non invasive, upper GI and pancreatic sonogram. I really hope the home remedies work and you feel better tomorrow.
I was hoping for bloodwork and a sonogram. :nun:

Poor Sara, you going down in Home Depot!!
    I could see that. (easily)

I really don't want my GB yanked...the appendix, they could have.

yup I had what you might have 6 or 7 years ago, worked like magic
That's what they were saying. Like magic. Many times the pain was gone in about 15 minutes.
How much ACV did you add.

No, the aftermath of not having a gallbladder, even now, really stinks! While the appendix is useless, the gallbladder is not ;) BUT, in the event you need to have it removed, go for the laparoscopic route. Recovery was quick and not bad at all. As long as OBG refrains from telling funny jokes that make you laugh.:lol::lol:

One of the maintenance guys who works for our boss had a bowel obstruction a few years ago.
Now THAT'S some scary, life threatening stuff.
Course, he was one of those men who just thought he'd get better, and put off and put off going to the Dr., he nearly died. True story.

    So I understand. :(
My SIL had to have her's taken out several years ago.
Her's was so bad she had gangrene on it, and some on her liver. They had to scrape her liver to remove it.
She said she only ever had *minor* discomfort...like indigestion, her trigger was ground beef.
The doctor said her tolerance for pain is OFF THE CHARTS...of course she's the one who fell and broke both arms and they didn't cast them either.
