Good morning lurkers


People are getting worse on the roads every year it seems. Always in such a hurry, distracted driving, what have you. I'm beginning to hate driving anything other than the back country roads.



Hope you all were able to sleep ok.



Thought it was foggy here too. But then I realized the windows were just dew covered.

Was up late and woken at 2 from a storm. So I'm tired, at a first glance I read this as "it's chilly here and I have to drop my van off for socks."

Good morning all.

*I SLEPT GOOD LAST NIGHT*

We went to bed somewhere between 10 and 10:30, I think I fell right to sleep, and didn't wake up once until quarter til 5 this a.m.
Went back to bed for another hour.

Same here with people running red lights. I never venture out before checking that all are stopping.
I don't mean the ones that just flat run it late, a lot of times here, anywhere from 1 to 3 cars will still be going (slowly) through the lights. Especially turn lights.
It's maddening. No respect for others.

Thanks for the link KC. I'm good though, but we often share when we see good deals cuz you never know.

Not much going on here this a.m., been watching some recorded stuff with DH and just laying around so far.

Good morning lovely lurkers.

Lori, so glad to hear you slept well...and Dale glad you got to sleep in a bit.

I didn't sleep so well...kept having terrible dreams about the baby's accident yesterday...but I checked and they said she slept okay, so I'm happy with that.

Now I'm just waiting for family to show up...I still haven't seen my brother...that toothache he has is really killing him...my dad is staying at the same hotel and they said his face is so swollen and he can hardly talk. He tried to come up to the house yesterday so he could go out to eat with us, but his car broke down on the way...we offered to go get him, but he was so frustrated and in pain, he just went back to the hotel...I feel so bad for him because this is supposed to be his vacation and all he's had so far is pain and car trouble.

Hope everyone enjoys their Saturday and has a lovely day.

Oh yea!
DH is going to do grill some shrimp tonight, and we'll have rice and a veggie with that.
I'm kind of excited. Trying to slowly add back some normal food, yet take it easy.
Again, I'm released to a normal diet, just don't want to have a bunch of hard to digest food.

Just had a long, warm shower, and ready to try to nap a little.

Digesting isn't really isn't the problem from what I remember it's the getting rid of the digested stuff that hurt (I know TMI )Try a few dried prunes with every meal for a week worked for me,and drink plenty of water

Digesting in the sense of easy to digest is really what I meant.

Had a nice visit with the folks...and then my brother finally came over and, well, um, we still tried to have a nice visit...it took all of us to keep steering my brother away from those topics no one wanted to discuss...even my dad was tired of listening to him and said he hadn't wanted to invite him to dinner, but he felt bad for him after the bad weekend he was having...luckily dad is pretty good at keeping him under control and so we made them sit at one end of the table and the rest of us sat as far away as we could.

I was happy to have them finally leave tonight though...after a few hours listening to my brother spout his carp, I needed an adult beverage really bad (which according to my brother means I'm going to hell...oh well, at least I'm going to be enjoying myself while I'm there )

So now it's time to call it a night and relax with my drink...and I get to enjoy tomorrow all to myself...sweet dreams lovely lurkers.
