Good morning Joey, Dale, OBG, KC, and the sleeping lurkers.

Lovely Sunday brunch and inspirational quotes, as always.

No rain here, but very cool overnight with heavy dew.

Didn't sleep quite as well as Friday night, but it was better than nights earlier in the week, so I'll take it.
I'm moving around A LOT better!!!
Getting up and down, in and out of bed, getting dressed, and just generally feeling more "normal". :nun:
The external spots aren't nearly as tender, nor is the area inside.
Thinking the worst of it is behind me, and honestly, while a lot of it was definitely uncomfortable, I wouldn't call any of it unbearable.
It was more uncomfortable before the appendectomy than after.:thumb:
...but, I hear that a lot about various surgeries, especially knee replacements. That the pain before is a lot worse than the pain after.

Will just be glad when I can lift and carry Rita like normal.
I think I just have a few more days before I'm released for that.
Oh, and I have to downsize my purse.
Will DEFINITELY have to downsize my purse.

Dinner last night was REALLY good.
I'd mentioned that DH made grilled shrimp (shell on), tossed in olive oil, seasoned with some Old Bay, white pepper, and I think that was about it. No garlic which surprised me.
He looked around online for something that was simple that wouldn't be too rich or spicy, like garlicky and buttery would have been.
The lighter seasoning didn't overpower the flavor of the shrimp. Sometimes you really only taste the garlic and butter.
He also grilled lemon halves, to juice over the shrimp.
We'd never grilled lemons, but the juice was great.
Grilling took the tart bite of the lemon out, and left a mild, slightly sweeter lemon taste.

So, if you like shrimp, I highly recommend trying a version of it.

We'll definitely have it again, and will add some Cajun seasoning next time.
