Hiya Angel, hopefully you won't get too much rain. It sounds like they are expecting some flooding in LA but it's not clear how much and where yet.
Yep, they really have no idea how it's going to affect LA or MS right now...it all depends on how the storm behaves, and right now they don't have any clear idea...we're used to a watch and wait thing around here...we have hurricane prep kits, but we also know when it's necessary to bug out too...some things just aren't worth risking your life for...fortunately that shouldn't be the case here...can't say the same for Paul though...will be praying for him and all my Texas friends.

Wow, you sound busier than a beaver with a holely dam!

We don't go for that direct deposit either

Enjoy your catfish ;)

+1 on not a fan of paperless :nah:

I love direct deposit, makes life so much easier. The money is in my account sooner than the check would have been in my hand.

Yep, personally I love direct deposit too, but I fully understand those who don't...when I first heard they were making it mandatory, I didn't like the idea just because I don't like when someone does that...but I can't do anything about that since it comes from the corporate office...but I am able to do something about the rest of it where they want us to make our clients (the employers) have to sign in and get their own reports and stuff...that's the whole reason they use so they don't have to do all that, and heck some of them don't even know how to use a computer! So I talked with my boss, and we decided that we will provide them with whatever they need and make it work for them...can't do anything about the direct deposit, but as far as corporate is concerned we'll be paperless. They don't have to know how we do it. ;)

I thought I just read about a business chipping their employees? I don't rememebr the specifics. Lolz!
Yeah I read that story too...supposedly it was voluntary...but I say anyone who is crazy enough to let them do that is an idiot! Just my personal opinion, but there is no way I would ever work for a company that made you do that...you can put a chip in me when I'm dead and buried and not before!:-x

hope everyone stays safe through the storm

OMG what a day! I have been going nonstop since I got to work this morning...I even had to cut my lunch short by 30 minutes and worked another 30 minutes over...which means an hour off tomorrow...I can deal with that.

Turns out our payroll company is going paperless, which I just found out last week, but they've known since June, but failed to pass along to us...so now I have 4 weeks to get all our clients converted over...we have a lot of construction companies and other blue collar worker types who love getting a paper check...so getting them set up on direct deposit can be a challenge...I spent the day having to go visit clients to let know what is going on and what we can do to help with the change...the next couple of weeks will be busy with doing that, but once we get it set up, it's going to save a lot of time for us, and money for my boss since she won't have to pay all that mileage and we can better use our time for other things...not to mention the paper it will save. Probably a couple of trees worth a week. :p:laugh:

Yes, Paul, please do be safe...looks like it could get quite nasty for you...so far they don't really know how much it will affect us...looks like just a rain event here, but they have no idea how much right now...we'll just have to wait and see.

    Lori, love the hair!

Waiting on my catfish dinner here...has been a few weeks since I've had any.
That will be nice in the long run.
We've done direct deposit for years.

Thanks!! :). I wish I'd have had her do this a long time ago.
It looked nice long, but I was really tired of it.
She also put some long layers in it. Haven't had any layers in years either.

They did a nice looking job

    :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

Good luck down there Angel & PW keep us posted :)
    Thanks. :)

I even hand washed the dishes . Wasn't a ton. ;)

Wow, you sound busier than a beaver with a holely dam!

    Enjoy your catfish ;)
I always seem to have things to hand wash. I generally let them air dry and put away before bed or in the a.m.

    It's a control thing ain't it? ;)

I understand many people do :)

And how was Sara's day? ;)
I think it could be a control thing.

On many level's,first paperless next cards will be a problem then they'll want a chip in your arm you just watch :nah:
    :lol::lol::lol:
They pretty much already have the chip in your arm if you have a smart phone. ;). It's just attached to the end of your hand.
I know not everyone has the smart phones, but a good number of people do.
I say let them follow me, will be the most boring trip of their lives.

hope everyone stays safe through the storm

That's great that you're doing it that way!!
We'd have a few that would be lost to have to do anything on a computer.

    and for the larger cup

I've felt like that many a morning!
    Me too!!

Sure does feel like it  I must be getting old, coming back from a vacation is gettin' harder and harder.

I agree, I remember thinking are these people nuts. No way no how, nope.
I already told them I wasn't coming the Monday after we get home.:lol::lol:
Our flight gets in Sunday evening....no way I'm working on Monday.

    I agree.
I go by a high school on the way to work. The kids walking are all looking at their phones.
It's the people at traffic lights that hack me off.
I don't know if you've noticed how few cars can manage to get through a light anymore.
Everyone has to jack with their phones at the lights.

...I'm pooped y'all. I think I will say good night.
    Sweet dreams all.

Good night Dale and Lori.

I'm trying to do too much here myself...laundry, texting with Princess's mom, getting stuff together for the weekend, and I just finally finished dinner...guess I better get off of here and finish my stuff so I'm not up all night.

    Sweet dreams lovely lurkers.
