Brazoria County tweeted the pic saying it's an unmanned barge floating on the San Bernard River.
Can you imagine, a floating unmanned BARGE!!

I know about that highly unpopular law that Abbott signed. Really a bad move that really protects insurance companies but certainly not the poor ordinary citizen.

I just saw that, so I wanted to pass it on. Wow. :(

All these levies and reservoirs that are being released, and overflowing, gosh...I fear it's going to get really bad tonight. :(

There's a live shot of a water rescue on an interstate, not sure what on earth the woman is doing. She's swimming AWAY from the boat...

Too funny.
Watching the update from the mayor of Houston, and the fire chief didn't realize the man next to him was signing for the deaf.
He stopped and I guess did a double take and then realized what was going on.
He laughed and said he thought the guy was mocking him.

    Good afternoon all.

Dr.'s appt. went very well!! Thank you ALL for the thoughts and prayers!!! So very much appreciated.
She said the two (small) spots are two different kinds of benign polyps. No treatment needed what so ever. :nun:

Paul just hate that you'll have all that (more) work ahead of you to deal with.
I know compared to others, you're so very blessed, but still, you always seem to have such a full plate. :(

I've been watching all the goings on and reports coming out of Texas, and my heart is so very heavy for everyone. :nun:

Just catching up on reading through the thread! I am so happy your doctor appointment went well

Ugh...just got home from work a few minutes ago...boss called me right before 4 and told me we'd be going downtown for a lease signing on one of our properties we're building and he had to bring his own notary, so that'd be me...we were there 2 freaking hours because these people we're building for are crazy...of course they are a bunch of psychologists, so of course they are. :p:lol:

Plenty of steady rain here, but not super heavy, so I think we'll be okay, although they have reported flooded roads, just none I have to go on, so I'm good. ;)

Paul, sucks you'll have to fix those things, but yeah it could have been so much worse...glad it wasn't.

Lori, glad the doctor appt went well.

Today is the 12th anniversary of Katrina here, and I can attest that for those in Texas it will be years worth of rebuilding...we still have places here that haven't been rebuilt yet...you see it a lot along the beach areas....so yes, lots of work for those who work in those fields.

May end up having to take the extra time in overtime this week, instead of time off...the boss is leaving town with her sister and she won't be back until next Tuesday, so that means I have to be there to run things and also have to go sign up a new payroll client and all their employees Friday afternoon, so I'm not seeing much opportunity to take extra time off.

At least I'm Princess free tonight, so probably going to try to get to bed early to make up for last night...going to wish you all good night and sweet dreams.

    Thanks, me too!! :)

Paul, I am sorry about your repairs. :( I'm glad it's nothing worse, but it still stinks just the same.

Lori, that's great news from the doctor. So glad you are ok.
    Me too!! :) Thanks!!
Deep down, I really didn't think it was anything. But, you just have to follow through when they tell you to follow up on something...not worth risking letting things go.

You'd probably be surprised how often we get reactions like that ;)

Oh, and especially in this scenario. He "in the moment" of the report he's giving, and not even *thinking* about those around him...most likely.

Sounds like a long day. Too funny about the psychologists remark!!
Thanks, I'm glad to have it over with. :)

So sad, all of it. Can't hardly believe that was 12 years ago. These years just clip by.

Guess I will say goodnight...sweet dreams all.
