I hear ya KC, I keep up with family, but it's at the most minimum level without being completely anti-social.
My brother's side just has too much drama...regurgitated stuff...over, and over, and over....been there, got that t-shirt, no need to keep up.
Love 'em all, would definitely be there for any of them in any sort of need or crisis, but don't need the play by play on a weekly basis. 
Classmates, a negative on that too. I just didn't end up remaining close with any of them.
The couple I was fairly close to, when we run into each other, the years on no contact melt away, friends forever, just again, don't keep in constant contact....everyone's busy with their own lives, no one really socializes much.

Will be longer days but hopefully worth it
Hope the rescheduling works out for you. It is difficult to find a job where you are doing what you enjoy so it is not so draining mentally.
