Me too Lori and if you go be careful please :nun:
    Thank you.
Oh I would imagine I'd fly, or he'd come back home and we'd go back up together.
If I had to drive it, I wouldn't go around Chicago. :) I can go N and cut over through Indiana, the straight up.
That's not bad at all. I just takes about 45 minutes longer...supposedly...depending on traffic, etc.

Well I did a real nice repair job on it and it's still dead but I did find one I think I like for 60.00 shipped :)

    Good evening all :)
It was a very long and hard day, barely been home long enough to bathe and eat.

Lori, so sorry to hear about your fil, hope and pray he'll be alright ... or at least not in discomfort :( How old is he?

I'm going to relax and watch NCIS here in a few minutes, I'll probably check back before bed :)

    Thanks.

DH got there about an hour ago, and was able to be there when the Dr. came in.
He said it's just a matter of time. When his heart stops.
He's not responded to any of the treatments, and they're not going to do more than they are already/already have.
He's not conscious, and they're not going to wake him up DH said.
I guess they sedate you for the respirator/ventilator. So, he shouldn't be in any pain, which is always a blessing.

I'm glad he's there for his mom. :)
Not sure what will happen after he passes as far as service or burial.

Heading to get my shower and veg out on the sofa. ;)

Enjoy your show tonight Dale & OBG. :)

    Good morning (barely) all.
Sorry for the late check in. Been crazy here.
FIL isn't doing well. We found out late last night, but didn't know the extent of the situation until this a.m.
He went to the hospital through the night, well, about 1 a.m. our time.
He's in the hospital, and apparently (sounds like) they have him on life support.
He's battled congestive heart failure for awhile, and things just don't sound good. (ventilator, and feeding tube, trying to get central lines for better IV's, etc. :(
DH is on his way there now. Travel time is about 6 hours, depending on traffic.
He was able to get things wrapped up at work, and he got on the road about an hour ago.
He had me stay behind and we'll see what goes once he gets there.
Sometimes it can be dire one minute, and better after a few hours.

    Anyway, that's my day. :)

Paul, hope your kitty gets better quick. No fun when our furbabies are under the weather!!

Glad for the cooler weather for those who've been needing it!!
Angel, surely you'll get a break soon too!

Okay, better get some lunch and see what I need to do next. :)

If I disappear, you'll know I ended up heading out of town.

I'm so very sorry, Lori. Keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers :nun:

Sweet dreams Dale, Lori and lurkers

OMG, what a long day...didn't get home until after 7:30 tonight...had to go to Wally World to get some stuff because I'm going to have the Princess starting tomorrow and all thru the weekend until Monday morning...I'm already tired just thinking about it...I've been going nonstop since I got home too because I decided to change which room she's in (for when her daddy finally comes home either later this month or early next month and figured he'd want his room back). Boy am I worn out!

Lori, continued prayers for comfort and peace for DH, FIL and all of you. :nun:

    Sweet dreams lovely lurkers.

Good morning Dale, and the sleeping Lurkers.

FIL passed peacefully during the night.
Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers.
The service will be held in November, when family is planned to be there already, the week before Thanksgiving.

BBL after I've had some morning coffee.
