Good night Lori and Sara

Good night lovely and handsome Lurkers
Sweet dreams Dale.

:rolleyes:Nope I ain't telling :p

Welcome home Lori

Sweet dreams Lurkers :)
 Lol's.
Thanks OBG!

Thank You Lori, in Ham speak your FIL is now a silent key.
as you will find the group he was with will be glad to keep MIL within the fold.
Yes, that's what she said, silent key.
Someone (on the net) was trying to ask Friday night if she could just use his sign in, and be able to respond, that they thought there was some sort of clause somewhere, regarding a silent key's surviving spouse, and she was shaking her head "no" saying, NOPE, nope, nope, nope.
Then the others chimed in, nope.
I think it was DH who said that the only way she could have her voice transmitted would be if she spoke thorough an open phone line, and the Ham operator held the phone up to his microphone...something like that. (don't quote me, I could have that messed up too)
She said no she would not even do that. ;) She said they can call each other on the phone if need be. Lol's.
She's *well* loved in the group, and she said they're as much family as blood family is.
FIL had been president, for a very, very long time.
I don't know all the proper terminology, and I didn't ask what exactly he was president of, I assumed his net group, or something in his area, or region, sorry, but I don't understand it all.
He had set nights that he ran, or hosted the net, for each of the two that he was active on.
She laughed, and said that FIL wasn't looking forward to getting the certificate that they get when they turn 80.
She said, "Well, he took care of that, didn't he"? :)
She said they get another when they turn 90.
They actually had just gotten back from their fall Ham event, it was held about two weeks ago, maybe in Wisconsin?
She said they'd crossed Lake Michigan on the ferry, so that would have to have been Wisconsin, I know it wasn't held in IL. Maybe Waukeegan?
Not sure if it was field day, or just what is was.
...anyway. I'm sure you know how all that goes. ;)

As both a Ham operator and ECF member condolences for the loss @LoriP1702
Thank you KC, that's so very sweet!! I will pass on to MIL that you've been so kind!!

Good morning Fran, Dale, Angel, and OBG.

Yes KC, you (and everyone) have a good day too!

Dale, I didn't "wanna" either, but here I am. :) *sigh*

Nerves frazzled Angel? Mine would be for sure! I love kiddos, but I'm not used to being around them for that long.

OBG, I used to LOVE salt water taffy. The carnival that came to town (still does where I grew up) for the 4th of July, always had a taffy vendor. We'd wait to get boxes that were still warm!!
I have too many old fillings, I'm scared to try to eat any now. :(
