Well today turned into the most horrible day...my bosses got the worst new any parent can get this afternoon...their only daughter was killed in a car wreck today...they are so beyond devastated...and my heart is breaking for them:cry::cry::cry:...I have been in shock all afternoon, ever since the police chief showed up at our office and the next thing I heard was my boss wailing...I've been crying all afternoon...and have felt so lost because I want to help and comfort them but just don't even have the words...and I just keep thinking of my boys, especially college boy because he actually went to college with her, and thinking that could be him...please any prayers, good vibes, etc for them is appreciated. :nun:

Been there done that and your right it's the worst thing that can happen to any parent,I hope it was quick and she didn't suffer :nun:

Oh Angel how dreadful, I'm so sorry to hear this.

There are no words of comfort you could say they would even reach her.I'm speaking from experience when I lost my youngest daughter 14 years ago I kept thinking "I wish they would quit talking so I don't have to answer. How the hell does anyone here know how I feel."
What you can do for her is be strong for her, a silent handshake or hug, give her time to grieve. In the weeks and month to come a cup of coffee when you notice she could use one even if she didn't ask for it, a moment to compose herself later on maybe a flower on her desk, if she needs to talk, listen.
    those things can help.
Loosing a child is the worst thing that can happen to anyone, the pain is always there, you learn to live with it but you never get over it.

I wish you much strength in the coming day's Angel (((hugs))).

I don't think she suffered...according to the police chief, he said that she ran into the back of a flat bed truck that was just stopped in the road...they said it was quick...the sad thing is she was coming home to see her parents...she had her little dog in the truck too and it died too.

That's exactly what I was thinking but wasn't sure how to say it.And that's very good advice you followed up with.

That’s still a lot of meat!

Well, it ended up being a piece of bread with butter, cinnamon and sugar

Oh Angel, OBG, and Splat just so very sorry to hear all that.
The death of a child is just heartbreaking, no matter the circumstances.
I will keep you all in my prayers, and your boss's family as well.
My niece and her husband lost their 16 month old about 10 years ago, I don't know personally how it would feel to lose a child, but I know how it feels for close family members.

    Sweet dreams Lurkers.
