That doesn't surprise me in the least.
I have a Project Fi/Google phone, I *know* it does.
I have also wondered if it's listening as well.
Just really strange that things I've verbally mentioned show up in advertising feeds.
DH won an ? Alexa...at a charity event, whatever that thing from Amazon is that does stuff by voice command, it's still in the box, and it will stay there...no thanks.

For those of you doing cornbread tomorrow, here's my recipe.

1 1/4 c. Corn meal
1 Tbsp. Sugar
1 1/2 tsp Baking pwdr
1 tsp salt
2 x Large eggs, beaten
1/2 c. Bacon drippings (whadja expect, health food?!)
1 can Cream style corn
1 x Yellow onion, diced
1/2 lb Sharp Cheddar cheese, grated (I usually use a full pound)
1/4 c. Pickled jalapeno peppers, finely chopped (seeded and deveined if you wish to reduce the fire a little bit)
1/8 c. (1 small jar) pimento (for color)
2 x Cloves garlic, squeezed through press or possibly otherwise finely mashed

Mix above ingredients in order of succession, dry ingredients first, then add in the rest. Mix only until moistened. Don't over mix. Pour into well greased and floured baking dish. Bake at 400-degrees for 35 min.

We just came back from there...a little further W than where you are, hope your weather is good, it was crappy when we were there.
