I hate it when it shows down here as well. Got off work at 7 just as the mess was kicking in down here. Roads were wet, but nothing to be really concerned about as temps were still way above freezing. You'd have thought there was a foot of snow on the ground by the way all these :censored::censored::censored::censored::censored::censored: idjits were driving on IH10. 30 freaking miles per hour. Took me double the time it usually takes me to get home because people were in a sheer panic. **sigh**

Good morning KC.

Good morning Lurkers :)

My kids laugh at me for the same thing but northern sure is better than old parts catalogs
Lol's, it sure would be softer!
Good morning OBG.

...yeah, and then there's that.
DH grew up, and learned to drive in Michigan. Unless we get about 8 inches of snow, he pretty much considers it a dusting...me, I'm white knuckled the whole way.

Good morning Dale, KC, OBG and lurkers

When kiddo was about 4, we got him the story Three Cups and three large coffee mugs. Each cup has a different purpose. One for donating, one for saving and one for spending. He had broken my old Nintendo DS and thought we would just buy a new one for him to use. Nope, kiddo, doesn't work that way. He had to save to purchase another one. So whenever he received any money, he split it up between the cups. :thumb: it took awhile, but he managed to have enough saved to get one. And he took much better care of it.

We decided the best way for him to understand donating is the Angel Tree because he gets to pick a child, see their wish list, pick out gifts, pay for it at the register with his own two little hands and then give the gifts back to the store.

Hope you all stay warm today, I'm guessing it's going to be another cold one. It will be for us for sure. Lol. Have a great day!

Yep. Grew up with the stuff, and have lived all over the world where winters aren't anything to sneeze at.

As an example of how stupid they get down here.

SAPD: Icy road causes 15-car pile up on Loop 410 ramp near Jackson Keller

Once temps got down to near freezing, common sense should dictate that bridges, overpasses and the like are going to be treacherous. It's almost like those idjits that blow by you at 70mph in a foot of snow thinking they're invulnerable because they have 4 wheel drive (and karma nearly always delivers when you see them in the ditch a mile down the road).

Good morning, love that Sara!

Exactly, and it's usually those with 4WD in the ditches here as well.

Good morning, Retired and Lori

I don't mind driving in it if there's no one else around. I don't trust other drivers at all.
Same here! Zero trust!
Heck, ZERO trust on dry pavement under picture perfect conditions!
Morning Lurkers!
I grew up in New Mexico and Northern Arizona, Flagstaff. Driving in snow doesn't bother me but we always end up trying to drive on sheets of ice here!
I really hate that ice on the roads!
Good morning Chili.
Hate ice, and would rather stay put than drive on it.

Morning Dale! Glad there is no snow or ice! We played slip and slide one year across Little Rock. We were on our way home from Tennessee. That is one trip I will never forget
Ugh! Always horror stories out of Tennessee and those curvy up and down roads and interstates! :nun:

Good morning lovely lurkers.

Yep, we had lots of idiots around the area here yesterday too...there were literally 100s of accidents around the Coast here...the county next door had like 83 they responded to according to the sheriff there...that was why I didn't want to be on the road, can't deal with the other idiots. :glare:

But its sunny today, snow and ice melting and should be gone soon...will be warmer too, upper 40s.

Hope everyone has a lovely day.

    Hope it wasn’t 2000

    Okay, I'm outie.
Need to go to the post office and the market.
Hungry for potato soup with bacon and cheese. :D
...and maybe a beef pot roast. Need to go check the freezer first. :)

    CU laters. ;)
Wishing I had shopped yesterday. Today took forever  Ugh!

Yep Angel, crazies everywhere...it's not a whole lot better even just when it rains. :(

Oh Chili, hope you feel better quick!! (((HUGS)))

OBG, I napped as well! :D A fairly good one too. ;)

Dale, our market was busy, but I don't often go on Saturday.
Got my shopping done there, came home and put stuff away, made the soup (was a mix, so easy peasy), put a couple chicken breasts in the crock pot for future stuff, napped, have been doing laundry, and normal household stuff.
...not a lot to report from here.

    Wishing for spring.
