We have new lament flooring in the kitchen which is slippery so I am not going to be able to help out with cooking some of the food this Christmas

Been trying to get caught up here for a while and kept getting interrupted...now I can't remember what the heck I wanted to respond to.

I finally figured out the perfect gift for the bf...I had gotten him a bunch of little things that would have sufficed, but I just wasn't happy with it...today I found out Tim Allen is coming to one of the casinos by me in February, so I got tickets for us to go...he loves Tim Allen, so this will be perfect!
Just had dinner...BBQ pork and brisket...was great! Now sitting back with a frozen eggnog daiquiri and about to watch a movie.

Forgot to mention, my SIL called last night to invite us to their house for Christmas, so since we didn't go for Thanksgiving, we'll be going. Will be good to see everyone.
Did a few of the normal, daily chores, a couple loads of laundry, and stitched some today.
DH made braised short ribs for dinner, with red potatoes and baby carrots.
It was absolutely wonderful!!
He uses Pioneer Woman's recipe, uses shallots instead of onions...I think that's all he changes. I know he adds some red wine to it...
Anyway, if you've never made it, it's really, really good.
We even watched a movie...Deadpool....not the one with Clint Eastwood, the one that kind of spoofs the XMen movies...it's a "love story"...(he said)...
He *did* fast forward through the gruesome parts.
*sigh*

Well, yesterday was a completely lazy day for me. I did absolutely nothing for once! Did some binge watching a series on Netflix. My throat and sinuses have been giving me fits. I was pretty sure it was allergies or something, but this morning, I'm not so sure. I might be getting a cold. If i do, it's the first one of the year. And we are supposed to go to Sequin, and hour away to our niece's place for Christmas lunch. At least we don't have the snow and ice to contend with like some of you have. Still have to get by the store and pick up a few things to take with us tomorrow when we go over to our neighbor's place. Should have done it yesterday, but just didn't have the ambition to do anything.
I'll be running around all day, it looks like, so I'd better get myself into gear. Hope all of you have a really wonderful Christmas!

It's going to be a busy one here too. Few more gifts to wrap. I have to make meatballs, peppermint cheesecake and a birthday cake for my brother. Then I have some tidying up to do. Oh and one last trip to wm. Maybe I can get DH to do that

We have been lucky so far , this is first falling of white stuff and is only about a 1/4 of an inch.
