OBG that's wonderful about your weight loss!!
    Congratulations!!

Sara, and Joey, sorry you've still got the cold/ice/snow. :(

Robin, your outside tv sounds great!! I'm sure you're screened in. Love bugs out yet??

Dale, I agree, we're going to have to explain to KC that he needs to check in. :)
Stay safe tonight, hope the storms don't materialize....there, or here. :)

    Sweet dreams all.

No love bugs yet. I'm hoping the cold weather we've had will keep them to a minimum. System came through last night so a bit chilly this am. Yes, our pool has a screened in 'cage' and it is attached to the house. I can leave my sliders open and we took the screen door part right off. :)

    Morning Lurkers

DR appt determined it is skin cancer. Am a bit concerned that I have appt Tuesday morning for removal and a biopsy of another spot. VA does not usually give out appts thay quickly(my experience any way).

Well off to work now, will try to get in here this evening.

{{{{ hugs}}}}. Just hearing the diagnosis word of cancer can throw our mind into a dark place. I just had some skin cancer removed a few weeks ago. You would think with all the chemo I've been doing, it wouldn't even be there.

Thank You to All Lurkers for allowing me to vent Here!

This is a totally alien situation for me and am not fully sure how to deal with current thoughts/feelings.

Am mainly just holding on to the " It is just a simple thing" thought and just kinda try and be neutral 'bout the whole thing.
Figure holding on to negative thoughts will promote negative outcome.

I try to think positive and I really do believe that the mind is just as an important tool in fighting the beast. Hang in there. Did the doc happen to say what type of skin cancer? Some are easier to treat that others. Mine was a simple one, Thank God, so it was just a matter of scraping down to clear cells.
Thanks guys, all prayers are greatly appreciated

My prayers are always with you, my dear friend

As well as with all of the Lurkers!!!

I agree wholeheartedly about the value of the mental attitude towards the cancer and the effective treatment of it. I did not allow a negative thought to remain long in my mind. I went so far as to avoid a second opinion which I saw as a form of doubt. Nothing would deter me from my repetitious belief and thought that the treatment was working exactly as it should. So far, so good after six years. I worked sixty hours per week for the first four years of treatment, I just felt a little weak for a day or so after the treatments.

PS: I am not in any way recommending avoidance of second opinions, it is simply meant to convey my personal way of doing things.

I've got it but it is "controlled". Whatever that may mean, but I'm feeling good. I think of it as a similar state to a diabetic, medically controlled but not resolved.
