Good afternoon Jerry and Sara

We’ve been to town, so happy to be back in the house!

Glad Lucy did well Sara :)
Hot or too crowded?

Thanks Dale, me too. Puts my mind at ease for when we go to the beach.

Heading home from my brother’s annual BBQ. Good times. :)

Hope everyone had a lovely day.

Good morning Dale and lurkers

What a lovely breakfast Dale, thank you. Wise quotes also :)

Yes, it was great visiting with friends. Lucy is 1 year old!! There was some confusion on her birthday and we are a little late (she’s Independence Day pup) Since it’s our turn to host family dinner, we thought we’d throw her a little party Bwahahaha. Complete with a little tennis ball “cake”. I’m a dork, I know :lol::lol:

Off to clean and prep for dinner. Hope you all have a fabulous day.

    Good afternoon lovely lurkers.

Life decided to get in my way again, but at least this time hopefully it's going to be for the better...oldest son has finally (at least I hope he sticks to it this time) wised up and split up with that crazy woman he calls his wife...he's authorized me to contact an attorney (which I did right away) so hopefully he's serious this time.

And the princess has finally gone back to my ex and his wife (which has been her home for the past year and a half and where it's the best place for her to be right now). My son knows he's not ready or equipped to raise her right now and I'm not home enough to help (nor am I inclined to for that matter...sorry, but I've already raised my kids, and as much as I love her, I am just not up to it). The mother of course has abandoned her again.

So what'd I miss...is everyone having a good weekend? I see it looks like Lori went somewhere, but I missed where...hope it was a good trip Lori.

And :bday: to Lucy! And no you're not crazy for giving her a party Sara...we do it all the time with our Harley...he even gets his own gift bag filled with toys! And his own little cake!

Hope everyone is having a great day...just trying to enjoy the rest of my Sunday before full Mondayitis sets in. ;)

Safe travels home, Lori. Sounds like you had a really nice time and hope you were able to recharge. :)

OBG, glad you had a good time despite the heat. That’s great the rain held off until after the fireworks

Oh Angel, sending lots of thoughts and prayers your son’s way. I don’t blame you on not wanting to raise anymore. You are and will be there for PrincessAngel when she needs it for guidance, advice etc. oh yes, Lucy has a bunch of new toys and a bday bandana. it was all I could do not to buy decorations. I do have some pink plates/napkins left over from a bridal shower I threw

So... I wake up Wednesday morning with a godawful toothache that isn't going to let me go back to sleep. Take a handful of Excedrin and start in on the coffee. Head into work and notice a bit of swelling along the jaw line. Thursday comes around, and I figure I better start thinking about heading into a dentist. Swelling is a bit worse and the pain is beginning to enter the "just shoot me now" category. Friday AM, I say screw it and head into the ER. Pain is indescribable and I now can't eat as I can't open my mouth wide enough to get anything into it.

Get checked into the ER with a pulse of 154 and an astronomically high blood pressure reading. They whisk me off for tests and a CT scan, and by that evening I'm being wheeled into the OR. Swelling by now has reached into my neck and even with the "good stuff", the pain is indescribable. Never knew an abscessed tooth could reach epic proportions that quickly. Essentially, they yanked two teeth, drained the infection, and left a drainage tube in my jaw (which just came out on its own 30 minutes ago, but is still tethered in there via sutures. Wonderful.). Kept me yesterday for observation and cut me loose this afternoon. Luckily, I'm scheduled to go in first thing in the morning for the removal of the drainage tube, so I'm not going to make a big deal of it tonight.

Jaw is still sore as hell. They really did a number on the muscles going in and I still can't open my mouth to eat anything of substance due to the trauma to the tissue and muscle. Looks like I'm gonna lose that last 10 pounds quicker than I thought I would. And I'd just KILL for a pepperoni pizza right now. **sigh**
