Good morning KC, Dale, Shad and lurkers

Thanks for coffee, breakfast and lovely quotes KC and Dale. I dunno though, it’s hard not to wait for Friday ;)

Yep, Dale, it gets dusty a lot and that’s with using it and wiping it down.

Hahaha Angel. I would love to never have to cook  Your family time sounded really nice and how sweet Princess put herself to bed

in the kitchen of a nursing home :)
love the residents and like my coworkers...i like my boss personally but he should never have gotten into management, i'm really not sure how he got this job to be honest...he's a nice enough guy but not professional at all. I've almost quit a few times because of him, which is a shame because I do like the job but he keeps messing with my hours and he'll say one thing and do another...it's just frustrating.
probably as soon as I find something with better pay and or hours i'll leave here and it's a shame to say that but my boss has really left me with no other choice.

    Good afternoon lovely lurkers.

My plan is to try and be lazy today, but that closet of mine is calling to me to clean it out, and since I'm rarely home on weekends, it's really screaming at me now...maybe I just need to put in some earplugs so I can't hear it.:lol:

Hope everyone is enjoying their Sunday.

My daughter runs a kitchen in a fairly large home(for around here 130 rooms) so I can guess at your problem, kitchen managers in those places have to work within a budget that allows a certain amount of money per resident per day so if someone calls off they might have to pay O/T(pay 1 1/2 times as much for same amount of hours worked) to someone else remember the budget ?then there are weeks when they lose some residents there goes the budget again. It's not an easy job lots to think about ! :)

Good morning Angel and OBG

Skip the ear plugs and go for the ones that cover the entire ear ;)

Glad you had a good lunch, Dale. I’ve never had Popeyes. See commercials for it on the tv though.

Kiddo is at the bills game with my brother. So we ran to get my glasses/contacts, then the produce place and finally wm. So glad to be home. We are gonna go to dinner to celebrate our anniversary. 13 years, last week

yeah i wish that were the issue but na, he's just...not professional....
case in point when i was hired i was promised i'd work either 4:30am - 1 or 6a - 2 and then maybe 1 11a - 7p and that i'd have every other weekend off
well since i started i worked all 11-7 and every weekend...now my schedule has been all over the place...i told him i have 2 kids and have to be home to get them to school and to get them from school, he said that wouldn't be a problem but as of yet that hasn't happened, granted school just started this month but still...i was also told i'd be training to be a cook so i could get a pay raise, a month later he says we never talked about that...
one day I was sick, came in to cover for someone else, but couldn't stay, called everyone and no one could come in, i called him and he basically told me SOL "it's my only day off, I'm not coming in" um dude you had 4 days off in a row, worked the night before and then was off another 2 days....so anyways i ended up staying and working, called off for the next day, the following day I was 2 hours late to work, I was so sick with fever and finally slept didn't hear my alarm or his phone calls, so he told everyone I quit....as soon as I woke i texted him i was on my way....I mean god forbid if i had been in a car accident or something but anyways yeah...
and he will do anything not to do his actual job but be the first one to tell an employee that that's not their job so don't help the other employee...i swear he's luck he has the staff he has, they are all great and great workers otherwise he'd be well screwed...

    Good afternoon all.

Lovely buffet and, as KC said, especially nice inspirational quotes Dale!!
I've never had Popeye's either, but hear it's good. There is one over in the general area where I work, but traffic is always miserable that direction, haven't gone to try it yet.
Is that the place that's supposed to have good red beans??

Sounded like a great family visit Angel, I've had earplugs in (apparently) all weekend.
Have gotten the usual daily/weekly stuff done, but been a sloth the rest of the time. :)

Happy Anniversary Sara!! :w00t: Enjoy your dinner!!

OBG, this weather is miserable! :nah: Super hot and humid here!

Shad, that sounds awful. :( Sorry you're going through that!!

*sigh* Sundayitis in full swing here.
Mexican takeout for dinner is the plan.

Hi Lori  Just finished spaghetti and salad myself.

Popeyes probably is the source of those beans, think they are a little Louisiana in their cooking

I got quite a few things accomplished this weekend and still lots of down time :thumb:

Well never got to the closet...instead spent the day cleaning the Princess room and rug due to an unfortunate bathroom accident, that didn't quite make it to the bathroom.:glare:...Do NOT want to do that again!...she's now happily back home, or at least I'm happy she's back home. ;)

You gals need to try Popeye's...it's the only chicken we eat down here, but then this is where Popeye's originated and we like our chicken spicy. :D

Happy Anniversary Sara! And to many more happy years ahead. :)

Lori, I have Sundayitis too...although after my busy weekend, work doesn't sound quite so bad....or maybe I've just lost what's left of my mind. :p:lol:

Shadav, sorry you're having to deal with all that...bad managers can make your life miserable...hope things get better for you soon.

Trying to salvage the rest of my evening and just relax and watch a bit of TV so going to sign off now...sweet dreams lovely lurkers.
