That’s ok. I keep typing and then never hitting post

Had lunch with my parents and then an impromptu appt with the eye doctor. Just realized I was out of contacts. Thank goodness I was able to get in today. I hate wearing my glasses.
Nice that you had lunch with your parents :thumb:

I pretty much only wear my glasses in public for distance viewing, up close it’s too blurry now but I never really minded them. Actually I wish I could wear them all the time and hide these bags under my eyes

Oh my what a day! Didn't get anything done was supposed to...instead both of our locations were fielding calls from angry families, the local news station and newspaper. This past week was Cruisin' the Coast with all the classic cars, and so there were lots of people in town and lots of people parking wherever they could. Some of them parked at the front of our cemetery (not near any graves, on open space close to the road that will never be used for graves and never has) and it caused a huge uproar.

Now mind you, this has been going on since before my bosses bought these cemeteries last year, but some crazy woman started a FB campaign and got hundreds of people in an uproar about it and posted some of our employee names and all our numbers to have people call and harass everyone. (And everyone left town yesterday, but these people were still complaining today) Then they went out to the cemetery and started following our grounds crew around taking their pictures and wouldn't leave them alone. By the time our guys told us that, they had left or we would have filed harassment charges on them. As it is, the news station ran the story, but the newspaper came out and saw there was absolutely nothing to report and left. Some people just have nothing better to do than complain...and about stuff we have no control over even!!! :-x

Hope everyone else had a better day!! ;)

Oh, and Sara, can't believe kiddo is 11 and in middle school! Yes, they do grow up so fast!

    Good evening all.
Long day, but in comparison to Angel's...:lol::lol:... I should probably redefine long and crazy in reference to a work day.
Angel, I'd be in the looney bin!!
No, people have absolutely nothing better to do these days! It's insanity.

Sara, so nice to have lunch with your parents, and that was fantastic that you were able to get right in.
I need to make an appointment myself for a check up.

Dale, glasses can actually magnify those under eye bags too.

Well, heading off, good night all. :)

What a nightmare, Angel. People are crazy! I hope tomorrow is better for you and they can figure out a compromise or something.

I don’t mind glasses when I’m home and no one can see me. I like to wear sunglasses when I’m out and don’t want to worry about switching. Not a fan of the progressive lenses.

Kiddo is almost as tall as me and wears the same shoe size. :( wish I could freeze time.

    Sweet dreams lurkers

Oh shoot, I passed the looney bin a long time ago! (Already ordered my straightjacket in sparkly purple ) I must be crazy because I keep going back every day!:shock::laugh:

I'm with you Sara, I like to wear sunglasses too and don't like the progressive lenses, so I go with contacts too. However, that now means I need to wear reading glasses with the contacts.

Okay, I've had my adult beverage (or two)...time to call it a night here too...sweet dreams lovely lurkers.

Good morning Dale and lurkers

The eye doctor kept hushing his iPad yesterday, telling it, “no, she’s not ready for cheaters just yet”. it must flash with silent alarms when the patient reaches a certain age. I just laughed and said, “well, I have noticed close up just isn’t what it used to be when it comes to certain things” he said, “soon, but you’re not quite there yet”.

Hope you all have a good day!

    Good afternoon all.

Angel, you're too funny!! I fully expect if you did order one it would have purple sparklies!!

Sara, hope you can stave that off. DH has needed longer arms to read things for the last year or so.
    He's fighting it. :lol::lol::lol:

Dale, that's wonderful that you've got a big ole pot of chili going, cool temps, and no pain!!!

Had to go first thing to get fasting blood work done for my normal check up appt. next week.
I was supposed to do this a week ago, but moved it out a week waiting for our new insurance cards to come, so got that all taken care of this a.m., and took Mimi to get her nails trimmed. She won't let me do it.
...then I napped. I tossed and turned the whole night last night. :(
It's grey and probably going to rain at some point today, coolish, perfect nap weather...I went right to sleep this time...definitely needed it. :)

Hi Lori  I’ve lost track of your off days I guess
Sorry you didn’t sleep well, at least you got that nap. :)
Chili is cooling now, we’ll have some for supper and I’ll freeze most of it.

Yeah, no idea, just couldn't get comfy, and just laid there wide awake.
Off on Tues. and Thurs. normally...occasionally there might be a need for a switch, but generally those two days off.

Thanks Sara, maybe it's the full(ish) moon, I noticed it was quite large the last couple of nights...that can supposedly throw off sleep patterns...but really, no idea.

Joey, your pork chops sound good. Haven't had those in forever.

Welp, that's it for me, sweet dreams all when you go....and goodnight Dale, I see you've already gone. ;)
