It’s absolutely heartbreaking how selfish people are in times like these. I’m so glad I have a bag of textiles I hadn’t dropped off for recycling yet. I hope it doesn’t come to that  DH has some tp ordered but I won’t feel relief until I see a shipping notification.

On a lighter note, I made banana bread to use up some overripe bananas. Maybe tomorrow I will break out a bag of frozen zucchini and make zucchini bread or crisp.

Hope everyone is doing ok.

We’re fine for the time being, sounds like you’re okay too. Still frightening how easily our little world can get turned upside down though isn’t it.

Absolutely, Dale! The unknown is slightly freaking me out. We are trying to maintain normalcy for kiddo as much as we can.

I’m having anxiety myself, sounds like this could go on a long time. Terribly afraid DH will bring it home to me he’s in contact with so many people.

One thing I’ve been doing with DH (he’s the one that leaves the house) is having him not touch anything when he gets back, jump in the shower and spray down the shower after. Washing his clothes on hot. It may be overly cautious but so many people are still out and about searching for hard to find things.

He went to the country butcher this morning and picked up some more meat. They seem to be well stocked. So that’s good. And our tp shipped. (Office Depot)

Try to get out and get some fresh air if the rain has stopped. It’s cooler here but I have the window open.

Good morning Dale and Sara :)

People have hoarded all the meat here. We have a decent sized freezer with about 2 weeks worth of food in it. We just have to remember to pull something out  We were able to get some paper goods from walmart yesterday, we ordered it online for pickup so we did not have to go inside :)

Good idea for your DH :thumb:
That’s great that you got some meat, I haven’t really tried to get any but am having DH check Harps for chicken thighs today . Really doubt they’ll have any left.
Raining here today, maybe it’ll wash some of these germs away ;)

Try Office Depot.com for tp. Can’t remember if I said, but we ordered the industrial sized rolls. Won’t fit the tp dispenser but at least it’s tp

Glad you got some stuff, Joey. Any smaller butcher shops in your area?

Dale try what Sara is suggesting office depot or amazon, may have to get the huge rolls :)

We do have butcher shop here maybe I will try going to see what they have. I just hate having to spend $2-$5 more a lb for certain things. I’m cheap lol

I guess if it gets that bad I will. We got some chicken quarters, 20 pounds :thumb:
Won’t starve for a while

Going to have DH see if Jack has some stuff to sell us too. Me, I’m staying home and hiding ;)

Yeah I hear you on the cost. For sure. We are aiming for more meatless meals. And as much as I love pasta you can only eat so much of it.
    I don’t love pasta but we’ve got a good bit now :)
I’m planning for soup, should go farther.

It is, every one out for themselves :( I bought a little extra in dry goods but no way I’m hogging stuff, too many people in need.
We’ll be buying some extra meat from Jack but he’s out of hamburger :( At least the kind I want

Amazing when there is a national tragedy how people come together. Emergency like this and *it is* everyone for themselves. :(

Our butcher was in the process of breaking down chicken so we didn’t get any of that. Some pork and beef and they added a free package of bacon which will be tomorrow’s breakfast ;) and maybe some bacon sandwiches for lunch. No tomato. Dale I have a lot of pasta ;) if you find yourself short. Let me know. I will help you guys (you too Joey) any way I can.

Wow! Free bacon! :w00t: I like your butcher:thumbs:
Thanks sweetheart, I got plenty of pasta :) I’d help you too if I could, don’t hesitate to ask. You never know what someone else may have plenty of.
