Good morning lurkers

We always have a good amount of ground beef and ground turkey on hand. I mix the two, 1:1 for everything except burgers. We eat hamburgers or turkey burgers.

And I agree on the fish  I eat shellfish occasionally.

@Bea-FL Ok, so I take the milk in a gallon jug, pour out like 1/2 c and put it in the freezer in the same container? How long can it be frozen for? I will have to try it some time. We have dry milk in the pantry for cooking in emergencies. Also some powdered whole eggs. I was thinking about getting some powdered whole milk and sour cream since baking season is coming and I want to make sure we have all necessities in case we can’t get to the store.

Here’s the scoop:
Can You Freeze Milk? — Storage Methods and How Long Frozen Milk Lasts

It says it’s grainy after thawing but we use ours with cereal and taste no difference. And since you’re assembling baking supplies maybe you need some buttermilk? I use it for some recipes but not enough to use it up so I keep buttermilk powder in the fridge.

Awesome!! Thank you! And you use Hoosier Hill Farm....that’s the brand I was looking at for the heavy cream (I put whole milk in my first post) and sour cream. Yay!!
