Lovely breakfast and that quote was spot on. You must have known I was gonna come in glass half empty this morning
The door is in. My mom always said if you didn’t have bad luck, you’d have no luck at all.
Pros: it is a heavy door that will keep the wind and rain out. They ripped out all the water damaged wood and replaced everything.
Cons: it is not the same door that we ordered and paid for which is now out of stock. Remember Lucy duty? I was upstairs with her the whole time. Dh texted me a pic of the door and I said ummmmmm that’s not our door. It’s supposed to have 10 lites, where is the grill on the glass that gives us 10 lites. Sticker on the door and the invoice are exactly what we ordered but it doesn’t match what was pictured or described.
The French doors had already been removed and this one had to go in whether I liked it or not. Dh spent all day on the phone with Home Depot and it’s still not resolved.
Now I need to order some sort of privacy for it. Don’t like curtains or blinds and we have some painting to do.
I will get used to it and had this been the door we wanted I would have been over the moon. The guy did an amazing job and I haven’t been outside yet to see the siding which I’m told will need to be power washed in the spring. We had extra pieces stored in the garage so they are dirty.

I found some panel vertical blinds that look nicer *to me* and we’ll probably order those. Absolutely!! I used to work, a second job, in the food court at our BJ’s (similar to Sam’s or Costco depending on your area) and found these amazing frozen pizzas. Then they stopped selling and I can’t find them anywhere
also my favorite bday dessert can no longer be ordered from a local restaurant and the business that makes it only sells to businesses. Gee whiz. Lmao!! What was that luck thing my mom always said?!?!? We’ve got a dusting of snow here.
