Good afternoon Dale, Shad, Classy and CMD :)

I had forgotten snap peas. I do like those in salads and stir fry. Lol

Got the windows open this afternoon for some fresh air, would love to take a nap.
Too wet for open windows here.
I should make stir fry more often, we do like it.

I ended up taking a nap for about 2 hours...but it wasn't really refreshing...woke up just as tired, but at least now I can keep my eyes open.
I wanted to nap but it got too late.

    2 hour nap
Roast done in crock pot with carrots
    Baked potato

I need something sweet now !
    Yum! Pot roast :thumb:
I had a leftover half of a subway.

cloudy, grey skies but yet it's bright...an eerie glow
it was so humid last night I couldn't breath...had to turn a little fan on me just to get the air moving
    Good afternoon Shad
    Sounds like tornado weather!

    Good evening lurkers

I should never post right before I have to head back in from lunch, I was rushing and my post was insensitive to you, Shad. I am sorry.

I’m sorry you were having trouble breathing. Not being able to breathe is quite a scary feeling. Hoping the weather is better for you now. :nun:

Sounds like we’ll be dealing with rain a good portion of the week o_O Hope the chance of storms is small and if you do get any that they are weak, Dale.

No matter how cloudy it is the sun manages to show out just in time every day to hit me right in the eyes o_O Have to close the blinds to see

one year, I thought for sure I was gonna meet my maker...back when I was a teen man...
    ok actually 2 different years
one year I was at my friends house getting ready to have dinner with his family and we're all sitting there and he keeps looking out the window like wtf
so we turn around and there's nothing
he's like seriously look out the window
    we look again, there's nothing
this happens a few times and we're like ok dude, it's not funny....
finally he's like forget you guys, and ran for the basement...then the dogs all followed him
by this point his dad has had enough and went outside....
came back in like sob he wasn't joking, everyone to the basement!

thankfully no real damage done that year, trees torn up and stuff

another year...yikes...that one was bad....I had moved back in with my mom because of my health and so like I'm looking outside and see a tornado...my mom's freaking out...I mean we lived in a trailer so I mean, what'cha really gonna do....there's no place to go...I mean there was sort of a place maybe a mile away I could have run to and told my mom if it came down to it I will grab the dog and throw him into pillow cases (it was a dachshund) and run for the old abandon train tracks where there's a concrete wall I could hide behind.
My dad calls, he's down the street at the dry cleaners telling us he just saw a tornado going past him and down us 40 headed towards us...my mom's like yeah we just saw it over by post rd and he's like no because I'm still looking at it...
at this same time my cousin is calling because she's like 7,8 or 9 months pregnant and freaking out because she now has 4 mailboxes in her front lawn, she lived maybe 20 minutes away and also had a tornado
by this point I'm outside trying to weigh my odds and just watching as not one, not two, oh not even three but 4 tornados are circling our area going up and down every other street around us...
I forget how many tornados they say hit that day, it was a record...it was over 25, I want to say even over 30 all in the span of a few hours
but right where I was, there were 4 circling our blocks
3 down where my cousin was
and another 3 not that far away either
so I mean within a span of less than 50 miles there were 10 - 12 tornados
one demolished a daycare center, thankfully all the kids had already gone home for the day and most of the staff, I think there were 2 deaths, could have been a lot worse.
my mom's freaking out and I'm just like, eh if it's time to go it's time to go, you're not going to out run a tornado let alone 4 or 5 of them...
we got lucky...they just kept going up and down the surrounding streets but never came into the magical box that was our trailer park....

I'm just like, living in indiana, I mean everyone else freaks out and I'm just here like, what really are you going to do....if a tornado comes, you're screwed so stop worrying and watch tv and when things start to really get bad, ok grab some pillows and blankets and go sit in the bathtub...I'm not saying it ain't scary but I mean really, what are you going to do? You can't out run them, you can't hide from them....just relax and pray that everything will be ok, because it's totally out of your control...
lmfao my teachers hated me during tornado warnings in school because I'm over there looking out the window instead of following instructions :p and I'd tell them the same thing, what difference does it make if I'm standing here or if I'm under my desk or against the wall....if that tornado hits we're all screwed.
