So just to give you an idea....I gave 1 to a co worker earlier in the week, 4 ripe ones to my parents, 3 to eat fresh for us, 6 to make cobbler tomorrow and 12 quarts canned. Totally worth the money because the flavor is way better than any peaches we could buy here. I ended up not freezing any but will still use some over vanilla ice cream.

And while we did not buy any of their pecans, a girl at work got some and let me try....WOW!! Sooo good and I’m not a pecan/walnut type nut fan. I prefer peanuts and cashews.

Wow! You got a lot out of that !
I love pecans and most nuts. I don’t like cashews or pistachios but most others I do.

Think I’m going to have a chef salad for supper, DH is planning to eat meatloaf and 15 beans and that doesn’t appeal to me.

We are set for cobbler/ice cream all winter

chef salad sounds awesome, Dale! We are doing stir fry to use up some chicken we grilled earlier this week and we are starting to get zucchini, summer squash and beans from our garden.
Peach cobbler is a favorite of mine ;)

Yum! Fresh garden stuff :thumb: DH hasn’t planted a garden in several years, I miss the fresh stuff. Might have to start planting things in a planter ;)

It’s my favorite too. You like vanilla ice cream with peaches also, don't you? That’s what we are doing....planters. We have beans, cherry tomatoes, summer squash, zucchini, green peppers, cucumbers, brussel sprouts and potatoes. We had peas at the beginning of summer and now DH wants to do carrots. So much easier than a garden bed.

Just peaches and ice cream? Not really, I like peach cobbler and ice cream but mostly prefer them separate.

I didn’t know if you were using planters or not since you said “garden”.

    Good morning Dale

Great quotes and a lovely breakfast. Thank you.

Hmmm it looks like it’s my turn to have trouble uploading pics. But we have the rectangular planter boxes on wheels. They are inside our pool fence on the patio because of all the wildlife around here. I like them because they don’t get overgown with weeds and they add a bit of privacy for the pool when the plants are fully grown. We also have a couple of grow bags for the potatoes and those are on castors

Sounds like a plan, Dale :)

Well its been a good weekend to do virtually nothing since the weather has been downright crappy. Tired of all this rain and that is in the forecast all week. :nah: Fingers crossed for next weekend because I have a 4 day weekend. First mini staycation of the year.
Oh I’m sorry to hear that, I’d take it in a heartbeat. We’re dry and crunchy here. It was storming this morning before daylight but didn’t last long, we need a long soaking rain.
Hopefully your weekend will be sunny and warm enough for pool time:)

I would send the rain to you in a heartbeat.
Soccer tournament Fri night - Sunday but we lucked out with morning games  I sure hope it’s nice too!

Making mac and cheese for dinner and peach cobbler from scratch. Omgosh I finally tried one of the peaches and it was amazing. Awesome flavor.
I know you would ;) Unfortunately it’s hot and humid here again

That’s great that you are so happy with your peaches, makes it all worth it. :)

DH and I slept all afternoon  We’ll be scrounging for supper.
