Lori, that sounds amazing even with the tradeoffs. Totally get what you’re saying about not being ready to retire. I learned some things about myself being at home with kiddo during the first part of covid.

We are dealing with whiteout conditions now. Wind started last night and it is really bad at times. Made sure to have everything fully charged in case the power goes out.
I'd love to retire under the right conditions...which would mostly require winning the lottery.

I saw a video of thunder sleet in Arkansas, yesterday
Hopefully that ice has melted for you, Dale.
All the snow from the MLK storm finally melted, between the rain and a handful of days in the 50s. Today….we are back to the teens and more snow on the way

Relatives taking advantage?
No one really taking advantage, we expected (and welcome) visits from close family.
MIL came the end of January, his uncle arrives tomorrow evening, leaving Tuesday.
DH's sister, BIL, and a nephew arrive March 8 and leave the morning of the 11th.
They're also visiting BIL's parents in Venice, so they were going to be in the area anyway.

Plan for the day, doing laundry, moving stuff from dying laptop to a hand me down laptop from DH, and cleaning a little for company.
Someone next door tested positive for covid, so I've possibly exposed.
So far so good. (I'm vaxed x2 and boosted)
I had been inside their house visiting, but not sure if I had close enough contact to catch anything.
She had a headache and felt like dogpoop yesterday, but just texted and word is she's feeling better this morning. (vaxed x2 and boosted)
I let DH's uncle know, and unless I get sick, he's not changing his travel plans.
He's still working, and volunteering at the big arena, so he's careful, but definitely still out and about.
He said since he's flying and traveling, he poses just as much risk for us, as we do for him.
Otherwise, I'm laying low for a few days and staying away from others, chatting only outside at a distance.
Heading for another cuppa....have a good day all.

We got a thick coat of ice/sleet/ice Sara but it doesn’t look like more fell during the night. However there’s a chance all day for more rain/sleet/snow with a slim chance of rising above freezing for about 2 hours this evening
Friday is supposed to be sunny with a high of 41
Well I’m glad you don’t feel like people are taking advantage Lori Hate that you’ve been exposed to Covid but it happens and sounds like you’re in pretty good shape anyway.
Any chance we could see a picture of your home and yard? Do you have a pool still?

Yeah it was an interesting morning . Poor Kalli, her clothes were so tight they were making her cry
So I changed her and then she was more content. Think she must be having a growing spurt as she ate the entire time she was here except for when she was asleep Bela is being sweet and quiet so far
DH is sleeping on the couch, mouth wide open Happy to hear you are feeling better
