The iron supplements must be working because the last two nights I was back to four hours sleep.

I ended up spending 12 hours on my date yesterday (that's a record) and enjoyed every minute of it. Checked out that indoor gun range place and it was quite impressive.

We did spend the majority of the afternoon and his sisters and brothers-in-law which was a blast. I used to see her all the time when I lived across the street from her and then she married and moved away. She was in her late forty when she married for the 1st time. She is a retired nurse and has Pulmonary Fibrosis and rheumatoid arthritis. I love being around people who no matter what is going on with them, have a happy disposition and their laughter is contagious.

Evidently, he enjoys fast food and I had to chuckle when he asked if I would like to eat a Whopper.

My gosh, even fast-food restaurants are getting expensive to go to. It was $24 for us to eat. It was later than I usually eat and he asked if it was okay if we got it to go and went back to my house to eat. That was fine with me. We had to eat in the den because I never did get a chance to replace the lightbulb over the kitchen table. heehee It did not bother me because I have not eaten in the kitchen since dad passed.

I told him since he had spent the day with me and fed me that he did not have to take me to the church to eat tonight as we had planned. He just said he was going to go and I wanted to go, he would love to take me. I gave him the option but I am pleased that he is going to take me. I really enjoyed the church dinner last week. I guess I am just happy to be getting out and being around a lot of nice people. I probably going to miss our outing when he heads back to the coast after Thanksgiving.

It was much cooler yesterday but still beautiful weather. It probably felt cooler because we had gotten up in the '80s the day before. I actually prefer cooler but sunny days. Wish it stayed that way 360 days a year.

Not sure what I will do this morning. I don't want to work on that lamp or go through any closets and drawers. I probably need to go find a hair dryer since I'm going to take a shower this afternoon.

Thanks again for all the advice and for reading about my wonderful day.

Happy Wednesday everyone. Enjoy your day.

The BBQ dinner at the church last night was so good. Because I needed to get the car out on the highway to blow it out, I asked Terry if he would drive it. I personally do not like driving other people's vehicles unless it is an emergency but he agreed. I have ridden with him enough to know he is a very cautious and safe driver. What I enjoy the most about this dating thing is sitting in the passenger's seat. I have felt like an Uber driver for many years now.

It seems a tiny bit different now. He ended up hugging me twice. That's something else I like about the dating thing.

Hugs are good and that's all I need. heehee

I did not get my hair dryer yesterday. WallyWorld did not have a great selection, which I was sort of surprised about. Looking on the website, there is one at Sam's that looks pretty good but it is $60. I guess that is not really bad since it is something you do not have to purchase often. (hopefully) The one I had was very, very old so I got my money's worth out of it. I only got it because it was pink and had a leopard print.

The mission I am on to fix the lamp is one step closer. I had gotten the part I needed the other day at Home Depot. After Terry left last night, I got the part sawed off to the right length. I am ending up spending a lot more than if I had just bought a new lamp but that's okay. I like a challenge. It is sort of funny because I really have no place planned to put it. I guess I am wanting to fix it just because it is something dad made. He made a bunch of my lamps, tables and even a cool bourbon barrel chair that has great storage on the inside of it. Of course, dad has it full of stuff that I have no idea what it is. It looks like plumbing parts or something.

Happy Thursday to all. Going to be Friday again. Oh boy do these weeks fly by. Sheesh!

Hey there all. I was sore and tired all day yesterday. I did not leave the house and it was nice. I guess the rain we are getting is from the hurricane also. We had a tornado watch in effect today but nuttin' happened here. I went out and walked while it was not raining. It just felt weird because it was so darn warm. I thought since I had not walked in two days that it would make me feel better. It usually does but did not quite do the trick today.

I know it is sort of silly that I am so excited that I put all new hardware and cord in a little lamp. And I realize a drunk orangutan with a swollen testicle could have done it but I am proud of myself. And it works! Yay! 20221111_142559.jpg It is just a little lamp made out of a brass shell from ammo. Dad had those stuck in different places in the house. I have put them all together on the hearth and put some dried stuff I found in a box in the closet in two of them. He also made the little table the lamp is sitting on. There are wagon wheels and wagon hub lamps all over the place. A lot of people like stuff like that but it is not really my thing.

I have bought some light switches. I want to replace the ivory ones with white so that they match the switch plate which is white. It has been driving me crazy. I know to turn off the electricity to the house (or see what I would look like with a perm) but I really do not like messing with electricity much. I may procrastinate on that for a little while longer.

I mentioned to Terry that I would like to see some of his handguns. I have been to his house before but he called today and asked if he could bring some over tomorrow. I have one small gun that I could carry but it would only irritate someone. The others I have would not be easy to conceal. I have one in mind that I really want. I'm gonna ask Santa for it. heehee I cannot believe there are only 45 days til Christmas. Sheesh!

Is anyone other than me excited about the Season 5 Yellowstone premiere Sunday? I have been counting down for a very long time. I am even excited that the other 4 seasons had 10 episodes each and this one I think is supposed to have 14.

Oh well, that's all for now. Hope everyone has a great Saturday.

Did you watch 1883?
Oh yes, I did. Sam Elliott! Do I need to say more.

Believe it or not, Tim McGraw was awesome in it. I did not realize he was such a good actor. Faith Hill plays his wife on there too and she was great. I really enjoyed 1883.

It was nice to go back and see how the Duttons became the way they are. There is going to be another mini-series spin-off on them. 1932 I think I read. I'll watch it too.

Kevin Costner is aging mighty fine but that Rip. Whew! It is an awfully intense show, isn't it? I never know what is going to happen and it sort of sneaks up on you.

It has been just a quiet day. No electrical work for me. heehee I took a short walk and that's about all I did. Fixed a salad for supper but did not have anything thawed to put on it and I never got around to boiling eggs today. Boy, I was lazy.

My cousin called and wants me to go eat Mexican with her and my aunt tomorrow night. I really like the place so I am looking forward to it.

I have felt like it was bedtime since 8:30 tonight. Not sure why I am so tired or why the night is moving so slowly. I think I will just go on to bed and read.

Hope everyone is having a nice weekend with a whole lotta relaxation.
