Good morning all! I woke up hungry at 4 o'clock. That is so weird to me. Had my coffee and was still hungry so I just had a bowl of Red Eye Gravy flavored grits.

I had a wonderful day yesterday. Walked 4 miles at the gym and then went walking on the trail I think I told y'all about. Went with my sister's first of 5 husbands. Because I have heard of 2 robberies in the last couple of weeks in daylight down there, I will not walk alone. I will not even walk alone after I get my concealed carry. (if I get them

) There really is safety in numbers. Other than he kept telling me to slow down, it was a wonderful walk and I have always like talking to him. It is the only one of her ex's that I stayed in contact with. He is my go-to guy if I have a financial question. Very knowledgeable regarding investments. He has been a day trader for years and loves it. He looks like he is running Nasa though. He sits in front of 9 monitors everyday.

It is so funny, Terry called last night and we both went to Walmart and the ABC store yesterday. I was looking for a sipping liqueur that only comes out at Christmas but there were already sold out. I just thought that was such a coincidence.

I told him years and years ago that I was strange. I was telling him last night that I never sleep under the sheet. I only sleep on top. He laughed and said he did too. That is the first person I have ever met that did that too. How weird is that?

He is going fishing again today. That man loves fishing and always has. He has had some kind of boat ever since I met him. I don't even think he cares if he catches anything. He just loves to fish. I have done it several times but I don't like catching anything. It is relaxing but I would have to be awfully hungry to keep what I caught. I hope we have a warm winter like we usually do so we can go out on the boat. He showed me a video he took from his boat and the scenery look awesome.

When I was going through dad's desk, I got up all the pads and paper, extra pens and pencils etc. I kept some and bagged up the rest to give to Cindy's grandchildren. I'd rather see someone use it. Well, last night I went looking for the green plastic folder that had what I was keeping. Evidently, I gave that to them also because I could not find anything other than a pack of post-a-notes. heehee Guess who is stopping by the $1.25 store after she gets finished at the gym? I have to take notes in my class tomorrow. It has been a long time since I took a class to learn something or take a test. I guess the last test I took was 40 some years ago when I became a notary. I kept that up until 3 years ago. I couldn't see paying for something that I rarely used anymore.

Dale, so glad you have some time off. You need to recharge. heehee Hope you have a very relaxing long weekend. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Buffalo chicken wing dip is one of my absolute favorites!! If we have leftovers, I put a schmear on a tortilla, roll it up and fry in a pan with a smidge of oil. Mmmm!!
OMgosh, thank you. I have not thought of doing that with it. That sounds like something I would love. It has cheese. What's not to love.

Your dad’s possessions are now yours to do with what you please.
I agree but I just don't understand why people do that when someone passes. I have never done that to any of my friends who have had family/friends pass. Maybe they are trying to help me because they know I cannot keep everything. That sounds much better than what I am really thinking.

    Good morning Rat2

Well my day has started well, just found out we don’t have to go to court today about the accident since our insurance has already paid damages :thumb:

Got laundry started and dishes sorted.
‘It’s cloudy and drizzling again so I’m thrilled to stay home today, looks like all the week will be the same.

    Good evening lurkers

Rat2, good luck tomorrow! Is the test the same day as the class? I couldn’t remember. Being on a boat would be very relaxing. Glad you had company on your walk. If you are weird then so am I. We don’t even use a top sheet. Too much tossing and turning and It gets tangled in my legs or bunched at the bottom of the bed. While I love the wing dip, it’s never as creamy the next day. So putting it on the tortilla is perfect.

Ohh Dale, that’s awesome news about the insurance/car! What a relief to not have to go to court. Enjoy your long weekend.

Happy the weekend is here. I’m feeling extra tired this week. We were supposed to have stir fry but I don’t feel like lugging the instant pot out to make the rice. Nor do I want to clean up after. I’d like to go to bed. So leftover pasta for the boys. I might just have a cup of tea or maybe a beer

uggg power out thanks to the nasty wind. And the stupid alarm won’t stop beeping….FYI, Rat2. Alarms beep when the power is out like every 10 seconds. Having trouble locating the info to stop it. I will for sure print it this time and keep in a safe place, since this isn’t our first rodeo.

Yum, burger and fries. We did have our stir fry tonight. :) Nothing wrong with relaxing for the day. Especially since your a working woman ;)

It ended up being out 2 1/2 hours. Came back on for awhile and went out again for about 45 more minutes. Never did find the info but I played around with it to make it stop.

Got all the Christmas totes put away and picked up so I’m ready to vacuum/mop first thing tomorrow. Definitely put a damper on all the stuff I wanted to do today. Oh well.

    Have a great night.

    Rerun Fran. . .

I knew it was going to rain yesterday because I woke up at 4 and was not able to get comfy enough to go back to sleep. I'm sure it was my nerves also. As it turned out, I really had nothing to worry about.

Of course, the instructor could not answer two of my questions but after class, he asked for my number and said he would find out for me. He said they were good questions and as long as he has been given the class, he had never been asked. I guess I am "unique" everywhere I go. heehee

I only got to shoot 25 of the 30 times required because I got 24 out of 25 and he told me to save my last 5 bullets. It was not the contacts making me miss the x and hitting the center chest. I wore my glasses today and did the same thing. The instructor asked if he could look at my gun and said they did not do something on it til 1960 and he knew it was from the 50s. All I know is I have the paperwork where dad bought it for $1.00 when he retired. It is the first time I ever shot it and a couple of times I could not get the trigger to pull. He shot it and said there was a delay and that I should add lube. But he loved my weapon and I was happy.

I am not sure how long it is going to take to get an appointment with the sheriff's office. He said the county I lived in was slow so we will see. It really does not matter to me. I passed the class and got my certificate. I did well.

I have not eaten this much in one day for a long time. They served breakfast and lunch. The chair was quite uncomfortable and they more than like thought I had some kind of .... rash because I wiggled all afternoon. I am sure it was the weather. It rained all morning. Then I stopped at a friend's house and she fed me lasagna supper.

It was 30 some miles away and it was slow going coming home. I kept running into foggy patches where I could not see. Where my friend lives, 3 deer ran out in front of me as I was going down her long, long driveway. Oh well, I made it home and I have my bed heating up now and it was a wonderful day.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

Oh, I got almost all my Amazonian order a day early which was great because I hated leaving them on the front porch all day. It felt better than any Christmas I have ever had. I had 3 big boxes on the porch when I got out of the shower. I will get the microwave out of the box maybe tomorrow. I hope there is a lot of styrofoam in the box or I ordered a big microwave. It was a 4-in-1 and had good reviews so we will see. I cannot wait to use the air fryer part.

Okay, this o'l girl is headed to bed and I am going to sleep as long as I can.

I may be late for breakfast dale, but keep it warm for me. heehee
