Good morning Rat2 and Dale

Oh my goodness, Rat2. That sounds absolutely awful. I’m so glad you were able to get in.

We were fortunate to keep power all night but the winds have not let up at all. It’s like a scene out of Krampus. (scary Christmas flick)

Buckeye pie is a chocolate peanut butter pie. I found the recipe on Taste Of Home website.

oh yeah, cheers to the three of us who were 32 in '92

1960 was a great year!!!

we're getting up there... Dale, Rat
no we're not... yet

and to think...... when I was 20 in '80 I thought 40 was ancient
lol... then I turned 40 and thought 60 will be ancient
hit 60...... and I gave up thinking about ever being ancient
finally settled on... the pyramids are ancient... not me... or us

Now what month guys? Which one of us is oldest? I’ll start, August 17.

February 28. 7:10am.

1960 was a Leap Year. My Mom told me she wanted me to be born on the 29th. But I simply could not wait another day to make my appearance.

If I would have been born on the 29th I'd only be 15 years old.
Imagine that, 15 years old and vaping!!!

I would have shoveled out a nice area in front of your basketball hoop and been doing some dunks.

What state are you in???

Currently I'm up at our place in northern Wisconsin. We got a little over a foot of snow. The high winds made snow drifts pretty high. With the wind chill it was -21° earlier. Warmer than yesterday. LOL

Omg!! I think we have to do that. Especially because I have a picture of dh and kiddo playing basketball last year on Christmas Eve. That would make for a hilarious comparison. Thank you for reminding me of that. :)

We are in the outskirts of Buffalo, NY. As of an hour ago we are at 24 inches without drifts. It’s still hitting us pretty hard and will be for the next couple of hours before it moves south. Pretty cold out there but nothing compared to you, yeeesh. 13 with a real feel of -5

I would do it for sure!!! I totally miss not having a basketball hoop, playing HORSE and messin' around.

Oooooooh, you get all that lake effect snow too!!! Bummer.

At my home in Milwaukee we get lake effect snow but nothing compared to you folks. Up here, near Rhinelander, we just get snow, then more snow but still not as much as you folks get. Still, I enjoy the winters and going snowmobiling and just being out in nature.

I do love how quiet everything is under a blanket of fresh snow as long as I don’t have to go anywhere. Otherwise, I prefer sun and warmth preferably by the water. We are planning to retire to Virginia Beach at least for the winters.

Last Christmas it was upper 40s low 50s and any snow we had was mostly melted. I did see some at the edge of the driveway in the pic.

Last pic before it gets dark. We are still dealing with heavy snow coming down and wind. Unfortunate but Christmas at my mom’s tomorrow morning will most definitely be cancelled. We are however very fortunate to have not lost power at all today. So for that I am extremely happy.

Christmas Eve is usually reserved for takeout but since that is off the table I made some pizza dough for us to have Detroit Style pizza. Similar to takeout. Lol

I hope all of you are enjoying the festivities that Christmas Eve has to offer. Enjoy your family, friends, quiet time. We have a lot to be thankful for! I am also thankful to have “met” this great family of vaping friends  Merry Christmas Eve!!

Dh and kiddo went out to clear because supposedly the snow was to have stopped. Obviously we knew it would still be blowing. Christmas with my family tomorrow morning has officially been cancelled. My heart is broken (I know in the grand scheme of things this isn’t that big a deal) but with covid and now this we haven’t had a proper to us Christmas since 2019. It’s hard. I am so blessed that the three of us are healthy and able to celebrate tomorrow. It will be another different year, that’s for sure.

    Good evening guys :)

I’ve been busy today and never got the chance to check back in.

Really sorry all your Christmas plans are messed up Sara , it’s happened to us in the past and it’s hard in some ways and relaxing in others. Tomorrow is our big day, hope everyone is healthy
