Oh no that has definitely changed. It has switched to encouragement. View attachment 987772 He was busy with his fireworks and I was standing way, way back because I am afraid of them and I did not want the wind to blow a hot ash on me.

If Terry only wants companionship, that is fine with me. I have always enjoyed his company. As long as he keeps doing things and going places. This o'l girl is NOT going to sit at home unless she wants to. View attachment 987773
I was not aware of that.

Sorry you’re uncomfortably cold, I hate when that happens . The best cure I know is a warm bath.

Good evening Dale and Rat2

So glad you had a great time, Rat2!!

Dale, hope the dr appt went well.

Today came and went and I’m beat. It was ok, better than I thought lol

    Sweet dreams
    Good evening Sara
‘First day back after the holidays I’m not surprised it wasn’t better.
    ‘Get some sleep.

I was not aware of that.
Let's just say I used to think of him more brotherly. But he still picks on me like he always has done but a little more affectionately sometimes.

He has dated some but he has not had a relationship in 30 some years. I think that is by choice. Which is not a bad thing my no means. He was funny telling me about some of his dates. One woman opened her wallet and she had oodles of credit cards and that did it for him. heehee I told him I only had one and I paid it off every month.

Of course, I cannot talk about my past dating because it only consists of his cousin.

Terry called last night and just like I expected and was looking forward to, he asked if I would go with him to the church tonight to eat like we have been doing. Baked chicken and fried okra is all I can remember that he said but that was enough to get my tastebuds excited. They have such good food.

Gosh, the coffee is good this morning.

    Good morning Rat2

Aw well just keep enjoying the time together ;)

We have more than one cc but they all get paid off every month, just for convenience and credit rating.

    Good evening lurkers

I know the feeling all too well, Joey ;) Hope it goes smoothly for you! Yay for another week of vacation, next year.

Sounds like the makings of a real good relationship, Rat2. I hope your dinner is fabulous!

Dh picked up a Wegman’s sub for lunch today, ate half and brought me the other. He and kiddo are at soccer practice, so that was my dinner. Kiddo had the option of splitting that half with me but he opted for other leftovers in the fridge.

Work was meh! Thankful tomorrow is Thursday. Soaking rain all day and bad weather usually brings out the crazies, today did not disappoint. One guy had the audacity to carry on about employees being on break (their regularly scheduled break) “why were we on break, what did we need a break from, govt workers, lazy swearwords, this state is ridiculous” Guess who had the honor of waiting on him?

Hope everyone had a nice day. I’m off to watch some tv before bed.

Had a wonderful day in spite of the rain. Had a really good workout and then went to WallyWorld. Came home and showered and got all fixed up. Went out into the garage and somehow got a spot on my bright red pants. I've seen dad get out the lighter fluid to remove a spot so I tried it and red was coming off on my paper towel. Ooops. I hope it comes out in the wash.

It was time for Terry and I had to do a quick change of. everything. Shirt, pants, jewelry, tooter, and cell phone case had to be changed. (you know I have issues with matching everything) I just did make it when he pulled into the driveway.

Anyhoo, the supper was wonderful. Baked chicken with rice and fried okra. Yellow cake with chocolate icing for dessert. It really is an amazing meal considering it is only $5.

Judging from the way his stomach was gurgling, I was not surprised that he went home at 9 o'clock. It was fine with me. I was full and content. heehee He asked me to go to his sister's Friday afternoon because it is her birthday. I love going to his sister's house. We always have so much fun laughing. It is something to look forward to.

I had gotten to a good part of the book on the treadmill today at the gym so I think I will go find out what happens. Hope everyone gets a good night's rest. Just hold on, Friday is coming and not soon enough!

Oh, I thought of something else.

At WallyWorld today I was looking at the leggings like I always do and I found a pair of gray that I do not have but they did not have a price tag on it. I took it to the girl and asked if she could price these for me so I would not have trouble at the checkout. She looked it up and said that they were $1. I told her that was wrong because most of the others were $14.98. She said we would go with what the computer said and told me to have a nice day. I told her I could not do that but she just laughed and said "Yes, you can". So I walked out of there with my $1 leggings.

They are the strangest color. They look like a beautiful shade of gray until you put them beside a gray sweater and then they look pale purple. Weird. I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me until I took them to the window for some light and sure enough, they change colors.

Okay, I think that is everything. Only I could make a post this long over a pair of chameleon pants that cost $1.

    Good morning lurkers

Randy only needed you for hunting season? That kinda stinks. Not that you want to work year round, so I get it. Will he bring you back next year?

Sorry work sucks, Joey. :( Omgosh, I love Wegman’s subs and their little brownie bites are my favorite. Love that store! Wish we had one closer for regular shopping.

Meh, those kinds of customers are par for the course. I could write a book. Sometimes, I choose to diffuse them, other times, I bite back. Yesterday I said, yeah well I pay my salary too!

Rat2, dinner sounded really nice. I’m sorry about your red pants :( Hope you can get them fixed. But, nice score!!!! Leggings that change color for $1.

Rain has stopped but the wind is sounding pretty fierce this morning. Hope everyone has a great day!!

I am not so sure about the amusing part but I'm glad y'all handle it very well.

Uncle Willie used to call me Erma because he said my writings/humor reminded him of Erma Bombeck. Do you remember her. She was a funny lady. I do love to laugh but I am just sharing my life. Guess the funniness just happens around me.

Sometimes it's worth it. . . sometimes it's not. It funny, the only time I think about my ex is when I have something to do that I don't particularly like doing. During the divorce which ended up being nastier than it should have been, I thought of him when dad had a tree cut down. Those were huge limbs they put through that big o'l shredder.

Sure could have saved me in lawyer fees.

It has been an absolutely gorgeous day here. Between the gym and taking a walk with my ex-bro-in-law, I walked almost 6 miles today. He is a wonderful man. He married my sister in 78 but they did not stay married very long. (she then went on to marry 4 more times) I haven't checked the Register of Deeds lately, it could be 6 by now.
    blink.gif

We just always got along. He taught my daughter to play the bass guitar when she was in high school and ended up giving her one. I still have the guitar that I borrowed from him 6 years ago. Every time I ask if he wants it back he just grins and says he doesn't know what I'm talking about.

I walk a lot faster than he does and he is always saying to slow down. Personally, I think he needs to speed it up a bit. But strolling with him is relaxing. Halfway through we came upon a concrete bench and he wanted to sit and talk. The sun was on my back and it felt so good. Soaked me up a little Vitamin D today too. Maybe that is why I am feeling so peppy.

I have some leftover grilled chicken and I am going to put it on my salad for supper. I am hungry now but I will try to hold out. I do not want to get hungry again before I go to bed.

Tomorrow is Friday. Not sure why I am happy because I never know what day it is unless I look at my phone. I am looking forward to going down to Terry's sister's tomorrow for her birthday. His sister and granddaughter share the same birthday. His granddaughter is almost finished with 6 years of schooling. She is going to be a Physicians Assistant in a couple of months. Oh to be beautiful, smart, and young again. Well, I was young at one time. Two out of three is not bad.

Have a great evening everyone.
