Good evening Dale and Joey :)

Me thinks you should have an easy, no muss no fuss dinner. Preferably with little to no dishes. ;) The pool is open and we are working to get the chemicals in the appropriate ranges. It’s clear. Tomorrow it’s only supposed to be mid 70s but the rest of the weekend will be in the 80s.

Good for you, Joey!! Love leaving work early to start the weekend. :thumb:

    Good evening everyone

Took a half day today so my 3 day weekend has started. Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend
    Good evening Joey
Good for you! I hope you have a stress free weekend ;)

I made myself a chef salad, not a lot of clean up involved. I did have some dishes to wash as DH managed to use a few before he left and I emptied the slow cooker and put up some beans to freeze.

Bet your pool will be popular ;)

    Good morning lurkers

Perfect dinner Dale :) Ahh that little stinker leaving you dishes. How is Paco with him being gone? Or are you the favorite?

Hope everyone has a great day!
    Good morning Sara
Paco seems fine with it but he probably hasn’t been with us long enough to know if it’s normal or not
‘His favorite is whoever is sitting down at the time  Actually I think he’s a little more fond of DH than me but that could just be because he leaves and comes back home whereas I’m always here.

Happy Saturday all. Sort of a cloudy morning. Feels like rain to me.

My test result turned out just like I knew it would. Normal TSH is .4 - 4.5. My test came back 53. I really do not know what this doctor is doing. She wanted to put me back on a dosage that she has tested me on and it came back bad. I wrote to her and gave her my suggestions (because sometimes the patient knows best). I have not heard back from her but if she does not listen to what I am telling her, I will have no choice but to change doctors or either go to an endocrinologist. There is NO WAY I am going to go on feeling the way I do. I hate it when people "Jack my Joy". heehee

Good morning Dale, sounds like Lucy…whoever is sitting that’s where she sits. Just in case she can get some extra loving

But if I’m upstairs she will come up and lay in her fluffy cocoon bed. I think I might be her favorite.
    I bet you are ;)

    Good afternoon everyone

Just waiting on family to arrive. I’m ready for a nap. Lol

I hope you get the answers you are looking for so you don’t have to look for another doctor, Rat2. :nun:
Hope you have a wonderful time Sara! :)

I wrote this yesterday morning and forgot to hit the post button. I signed back on tonight and here it was. DUH! Oh well, I'll post old news anyway.

While I am on the subject of jacking my joy, I have had no problems with my a/c. I decided since dad would never let me have a unit checkup, that I would have the man who installed it six years ago just come and take a look at it to keep it running smoothly.

Here comes the jack my joy. It was 4 lbs low on freon and he could not locate the leak. He worked on it for 4 hours. He says if it was his, he would replace to major parts because it is under warranty. I still have to pay labor and freight cost to get the parts. Yesterday the bill was $485 and I have him $500. The parts do not come in until the middle of June and he could not give me an estimate on the cost, which I understood.

I am not too upset because that is all a part of life and I have the wonderful ability to just handle whatever is thrown my way. I have also told you my superpower was finding good in any bad situation.

I never could get Dad to replace a much need roof. I got a quote last week and was planning to get two more before I chose someone to do it. (that is my standard process) I was talking to the a/c man and he said he has had a lifelong friend that does that for a living and he would tell him to help me out and give me a good price. See? Good coming out of bad. Since I have one quote, I'll let you know if he is really helping me out. heehee

I would take a recommendation from someone I trust a lot more than I would Google reviews so I am grateful.

Thanks for reading my ramblings and I hope everyone has a lovely day.

I cannot seem to keep up with what day it is. Since I went to eat with my aunt and cousin last night, yesterday seemed like Sunday. Thank goodness I have a phone that tells me.

Dan is back at his home in Florida. He tried to figure some way we could get together again. I will probably end up trying to drive there or even fly there. He wants me to visit him in Florida. I want to also. He has shown me around his whole house and yard and even his 4 car garage that holds all his toys. The man loves toys. heehee

I probably would not have even gone to the cabin if it had been this weekend. On holidays you always hear about more traffic accidents and fatalities. Probably a good idea that I just stayed at home. I wonder how long it will be before he is in NC or close enough to come to see me. Gives me something to look forward to, I suppose. I am ready for another adventure though.

I guess I will hear back from the doctor Monday but I already upped my dosage so I would go ahead and start feeling better. It's not working yet.

It rained here all day and is supposed to most of the week. Yay me. NOT. I stayed in bed until the AT&T repairman called and said he was on his way. They came and buried the wire that I called and complained about. He also took all those orange flags that they had left. He apologized for the shotty work. He was very nice and all is fine now.

Since I had on my clothes I went ahead and went down to my aunt to take a look at her foot that she hurt. A log rolled over on it when she was trying to move it to mow. Nasty scrape that I have been tending to the last couple of days. One thing is for sure, I am experienced in wound care. heehee Dad gave me lots of practice.

Looking forward to breakfast. Hope everyone sleeps well and has a wonderful Sunday.

    Good morning lurkers

Yesterday was very nice and I am glad we did it on Saturday. Otherwise the whole day would be lost to cleaning/preparing for today. Now I have 3 days to putter around. We had burgers, hot dogs, pasta salad, veggies and dip, baked beans, deviled eggs, fruit salad, potato salad, brownies and a strawberry cake dessert. Then I was a glutton and had the whole pint of my favorite s’mores ice cream that Dh picked up for me  In my defense, I had more veggies than chips.

The house is still mostly clean but I will vacuum and mop again today because of the going in and out all day.

Joey, your weekend menu sounds amazing. I hope you are having a nice relaxing one.

Rat2, fingers crossed neither repair are too costly. I hope you get another adventure with Dan soon. Sending healing vibes your way for your Aunt.

    Have a great day!

    Good Sunday morning.

Dale that was a beautiful Memorial Day breakfast. You are amazing.

Another rainy night and morning here. We are supposed to get a couple of inches today. Dan gives me my weather in the morning when we video chat.

He is going to a motorcycle breakfast and a ride today. It sounds like a lot of fun. I wish I could go. He says we will one day. He is so sure that this thing is supposed to be. heehee It's too early for me to tell. But I'm happy today and that is good enough for me.

He had a huge dead spider on his kitchen floor. I had him use the Google Lens app to find out what kind of spider. It was a wolf spider. I just know it was huge. They must have big bugs in Florida. That is such a cool app. I cannot tell you how many times I use it. I have identified stuff around here and used it to tell me what kind of flower something is that I like.

Not sure what is on my agenda today. Hope everyone has a great day.
