No way was she bored if she was with you guys the whole weekend. Kiddos love their grandparents. ;)

I am wiped out. We had homemade turkey subs and whatever chips that were left from last weekend. Quick and easy. I’m headed to bed to finish my book.

Hope everyone had a good day!
Good evening Sara and welcome home  Enjoy your reading time in the comfort of your bed.

And I love our grand babies but it’s always a bit of relief when they go back home

We had chicken breasts, green beans and corn.

My cousin was having a tree cut down today and asked me if I would bring her mom over to watch them. I ended up taking lunch. Been a long time since I had Arby's and it was very good. I even had another milkshake. Yum!

That was the best part of the visit. I've seen enough trees cut down and had to clean up the brush, to last me a lifetime. Oh well, everyone had a good time and I still got home in time to mow three yards. I did not think my aunt should get out there yet and I've told you how useful the grandson is. When I was mowing his yard he did come out and thank me. He told me he had planned to do it Wednesday. I don't even care if he saw me roll my eyes.

Hope everyone sleeps well (including me) and you have a great day.

    :bday: Mr Daleron

Awww what a great birthday treat!

We had pizza, kiddo has to study for his exams so we aren’t doing the soccer game tonight.

Anyone else getting the smoky skies from the wildfires in Canada? It’s insane here. The sky has been gray for the past few days looks like it’s about to pour rain but it’s not, hazey closer to the ground and you think it’s going to be super hot/humid heading outside but it’s actually chilly with no humidity. Sun is orange and you can look directly at it.

    I got him a shirt too ;)

Pretty sure we’re too far away to see any of that.

Had a hard time sleeping last night so had to do it this morning;)
I have had more than typical issues the last 3 nights. I got some melatonin at WallyWorld today. I have not tried it in 20 years but thought maybe that has changed since I have gotten older. (everything else has)

My fav pharmacist said that was more for jet lag and time changes. He said it was hard to beat Benadry.

Hope everyone sleeps good tonight.

Oh, they are calling for 50% rain tomorrow so the roofer is going to wait until Thursday. No biggie. I totally understand.

I did make it to the gym today and this really sweet older man was so glad to see me. He thought something had happened to me. It is nice to be missed.

Boy, I could tell that I had not been lifting and I only walked a mile. I had problems with my leg driving to Georgia. Then yesterday sitting and mowing for 3 hours did it again to me. It's something new all the time. I don't think that is what they mean when they say "Variety is the spice of life".

Dan has been a little down today. Remember I told you how he gets his two dogs when he goes home? The little boy dog has something on his neck and they took a biopsy. They are supposed to call him in a couple of days to see if it is cancer or whatever. I kept telling him not to think the worst yet. It is so sad when our babies are sick. 2 and 4-legged.

Aww, hoping for the best outcome for the pup.
Yes, me too. He is just crazy about those two little dogs. I was so upset when my little dog started losing weight and feeling bad. They checked the common possibilities. She wanted to do a test that would confirm if she had cancer. Rachel was 14 years old and I told the vet that was not necessary because I could not put her through any treatments.

My daughter brought over her dog when my pups were babies. They had only had 2 of their parvo shots. Because her dog was a carrier, mine came down with it. Although there were no guarantees, I did put them through the treatment since they were so young and strong. Thank goodness they both made it.

Oh well, I know how he feels and it breaks my heart. They are our babies. I told Dan that was one of the reasons I did not want any animals now. Of course, he said I would change my mind when "we" got settled. heehee

Good morning Dale and Rat2 :)

Power is out at the office so they sent us home  I’ll take it lol.

I’m definitely in the boat of “pets are family” although Lucy drives me crazy at times, I love her to pieces and do not look forward to the day she leaves us. The wow was for “when we get settled” that is a pretty significant statement ;)

Hope it was a good oversleep, Dale ;)

    Sometimes I’m observant. Lol!

I agree with that too. Great to get the extra sleep but then your schedule is off kilter and the day goes super fast.
