I worked in the attic again today or should I say sauna. My pores have never been cleaner.

I found out why my hummingbird feeder has been going down so fast. He even knocked one on the ground. I have fed them for years and this is the first time I have ever had a problem with a squirrel.

Found a little plastic figure in the attic today and threw it in the garbage. I found another one in the box and used the Google Lens app to see what it was.

View attachment 997985 Needless to say, I got the other one out of the garbage bag. What kind of person would spend that much on a little plastic toy that is not even cute? There is no telling what I have tossed in the garbage before I started looking things up. Sheesh!

I have a dental appointment tomorrow that was supposed to be a 1. They called today and wanted to know if I could come in at 8. I go down to the local community college and let the students clean my teeth. They want a good grade so they do a good job but it takes F O R E V E R. The things I subject myself to just to save money. They have to do x-rays tomorrow so they said it would be $7.50. It's $5 if they forget.

Hope everyone is staying cool. View attachment 997987
Appears you have quite a few antiques up there Rat2 :thumb:

Squirrels can be so cute and yet annoying at the same time.

    Good morning Fran
Not much fun is it? ;) Try dealing with those kind of temperatures and worse for months on end like we do.
I'd be so miserable. July and August have always been our hottest months. Thankful for AC.

Good morning Dale and Fran

I don’t like the 90s, too humid. I can’t imagine your summers, Dale. They are forecasting 95 today and then it will go back into the 80s tomorrow. I gladly would have swapped dinners. I’m over stir fry, maybe we’ve been eating too much of it.

Wow, Rat2. You are definitely finding lots of “treasures” My stepdad loves to feed the birds and squirrels. He always has a big bag of peanuts for his furry friends. It’s not a great pic, but one year I bought him this for his bday.

They love to sit on their picnic table and enjoy their feast  They even knock on the slider if the bowl is empty.

    Have a great day!

That is cute, I’ve seen similar items.

Gonna be a long day, sitting with my friend at the hospital today.

Went to the community college today for my dental cleaning. Three hours and 45 minutes and they did not get finished and asked me to come back next week. Sheesh! The only thing they charged me for today was the x-ray which was $2. The things I do to save money.

I have to save so I can get gas for my travels.

I doubt I'll be traveling much now because Dan has a pinched nerve and that could take weeks to improve. Bless his heart and bless my heart too.

I love going places and seeing things for the first time.

It is 88 here but very humid. I hate what it does to my hair. It feels a lot warmer than that though. I think I heard a rumble of thunder a minute ago.

I am hungry but don't know what I feel like eating. I usually have a taste for something. Oh well, guess it will be a surprise.

    Stay cool everyone.

    Good evening everyone:)
Ronnie came through his surgery well and the surgeon thinks they got all the cancer, only time and check ups will tell for sure. Elaine was naturally nervous but she did well and was over joyed to hear the good news.

We’re currently having a thunderstorm

    Good evening everyone

That’s wonderful news, Dale. I hope future checkups are just as wonderful. Elaine is very lucky to have such a great friend.

$2 for an X-ray, that’s awesome! Sorry you have to go back though. Sending positive vibes for Dan.
Good evening Sara and Fran  And lurking Joey:wub:

Yes we’re all very grateful. Dad’s surgery has been postponed until the 21st, our friend up north has gone home from the hospital so she’s doing better.

I‘m tired from sitting all day  Hope everyone has a good night:wub:

Every 30 minutes in a hospital, when you are sitting and waiting, takes an hour. So glad everyone is doing well. I know everyone here was sending good vibes and I believe they help.

I tried going to the gym a 5 today. A few younger people were there but still only 4, including me. I got my steps in and got my Slushie.
    1laugh.gif

I guess because of the heat, I just ate supper. I ended up having grilled chicken over my salad and it was very good. At least I am full and I think I am going to try to go to bed early and read myself to sleep. My sleeping has been worse than usual lately.

Dan is still in a tremendous amount of pain. He was not in a very good mood when I talked to him today but I understand. It has been six days and it seems to be getting worse. He said something about he was worried he was going to have to go to the emergency room. I feel sorry for him because he cannot drive if they give him any pain medication.

Hope everyone has a good night's sleep and a wonderful day.
