I am on my phone so I don't know if I'm doing this right. I'm at the hospital in the waiting room and thought I'd say hello.

Wednesday Ken wanted some him time, which is fine with me. He said he would not be gone long. I ran an errands and it was close to a store I had been wanting to go to.

When I got home,he still was not there. Good and bad news. Here is the bad news. Ken had a motorcycle crash. Luckily he was only going 5 mph. He was going around a speed bump and a critter ran our in front of him and he lost control and ended up in the big ditch. The bike is fine but I took him to the emergency clinic yesterday because I knew he had broken a rib. He had 3 broken ribs. Bless his heart. I know how painful it is because I took care of my mom's when she broke two.

Oh the good news. . . I was at home and he was not on my bike. heehee. Bad joke but I couldn't stop myself. Looking on the brightside though for him, I am a professional caregiver, imo. I had another bad joke this morning. I asked Ken if he knew of any pinchbikers. heehee I sure am going to miss riding.

That's all for now. BBL

Good morning Dale and lurkers

Yay! Dale!! Enjoy the cooler weather while you can. We are at 52 with a high of 59 but rainy.

Oh no, Rat2. Hope he is feeling better soon. Thank goodness it’s only a couple of ribs and nothing worse.

We are spending the day with family to celebrate my mom’s 65th. There is an outdoor fall festival she likes to go to and then we have reservations at an Italian place she likes. Kiddo actually chose it for his birthday but she loves it there as well.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Perfect fall day. It was really a nice time. I shared a Bavarian pretzel with beer cheese and a brownie with oreo mousse on top. Oh my gosh, it was soooo good. I did not share the brownie  Dinner was spaghetti parmesan. Which to be honest will be my lunch for the next two days or more because I was still full from the festival. I am now ready for slumber and hopefully sleep good all night.

Kiddo and I are getting ready to watch some Halloween movies (if I can stay awake). Hope everyone had a good day!

A little late in reporting but Ken's father came through the surgery well. His granddaughter brought him home last night. He wanted to go to bed because he said he couldn't sleep in the noisy hospital. That is true. Been there, done that!

Yesterday morning when Ken woke up he was having a tough time catching his breath and he couldn't cough up the phlegm because it was so painful. I know he was in a lot of pain because he asked me to drive his big truck to the emergency room. Thank goodness it was only 3 1/2 miles away. We spent the day there and at one time they said they were going to admit him.

They took more x-rays and a CT scan. The best thing they did was give him the nebulizer treatment. It helped his breathing. Of course, the strong pain meds helped immensely. The ended up sending him home with pain medication, muscle relaxers and an inhaler.

Another good thing is he has not had a cigarette. They scared him pretty bad about his lungs and getting pneumonia. I will voice my opinion but I would never fuss at him about it if he did go back to smoking. I will admit, I pray he does not. Not only for his health but the cost of smoking these days. He spends a week about what I paid when I had a mortgage a long time ago. I do not know how people can afford to smoke.

I know it is silly but taking care of Ken and spending the day at the hospital affected me emotionally and mentally. When we got home it was dark and cold but I told Ken I needed to take a walk and that is exactly what I did. It helped because I did not have to get into my emergency Xanax.

I am hoping for a nice peaceful day. I could use one. Hope y'all have a nice Sunday too.

Good morning Dale and Rat2

Thank you for breakfast and the quotes Dale. :) Mmm mac and cheese. Sounds like my kind of meal.

Rat2, glad to hear the surgery went well. Sorry about the scare with Ken. Hope he is feeling better soon.

Very windy today, glad we did the festival yesterday. Much colder too, only in the 40s.

Have a great day, I’m off to do the cleaning I didn’t do yesterday:lol:

    Good evening lurkers

Add rain to the cold and wind

Of course not, Dale. I’m too lazy to work hard this weekend. I even took a nap which I never do, probably be up all night lol I did make parmesan crusted pork chops with mashed potatoes and corn for dinner though, so that’s a win.
