guess y’all didn’t make it over there :(
Yes, he drove the six and a half hours Thursday after he went to the doctor. I can understand though. I would have been there if it was my dad having surgery.
Hopefully today will be better.
I think he is much better today but I know he is still in pain. I hope it is getting better and just not the meds. He finally took a shower tonight and I know that had to of made him feel better. I took one last night because I had been in the hospital all day with I am sure lots of germs.

Had Pizza Hut pizza tonight for supper and it was okay. I justified eating two slices because I did get my 10,000 steps in today when I went walking. It was a beautiful day even if there was a chill in the air. I certainly did not sweat any.

Other than Dale's morning quotes, it has not felt like a Sunday to me. I am not sure what day of the week it feels like though. Definitely not Sunday.

Hope everyone has a great start to their week. Hugs to all.

Good morning Dale

Brrrr! It’s cold this morning. Might have to switch to hot coffee instead of cold brew

My plan for today, get a roast in the crockpot, purge my closet and take kiddo to pick out birthday cards for my mom. Her actual bday is Thursday and we are taking her to dinner. Just us. Other than that it’s going to be a chill day, no pun intended.

Hope everyone is staying warm and has a great day!

Good morning all.

It is cold here too in Hixson, TN. (close to Chattanooga) It is 40 degrees. Rather brisk when I go outside to vape. It is supposed to get up to 76 today so I will try to get my walk in during the hot part of the day. That is perfect weather if you ask me.

I asked my aunt to take home my geraniums and put them in her garage. I don't think they can take cold below 55 degrees. If they are deceased when I get back, I am not going to be upset. I was just trying to save them for next year because it is the first potted plants that I think cost too much. It is a shame what they charge at nurseries. I love going to them and looking through at all the beautiful flowers. The colors are amazing.

I think Ken slept a little better last night. He went through the night without all his pain meds. He got up this morning at 6 to go to the restroom so I gave him a handful. He is sleeping really soundly right now. He is doing really well with his deep breathing exercises on the meter the hospital sent home with him. I have the same one at home from mom and dad. I still do not like the sound when he coughs. I think it is because it hurts so bad, that he cannot cough hard enough to expel it. I have been giving him hot drinks and he took a hot shower last night. I hate to give him any otc meds for it since he is taking so many other things that the two ER visits gave him. Maybe he will be better when he awakens. I hope so.

Hope everyone has a great day. I am going to.

Good morning Fran, Sara and Rat2

Are you off work today Sara?

It’s chilly here at the moment Rat2 but supposed to be in the 80’s later, anything above 75 is displeasing to me  I too hope Ken is feeling better today.

So DH brought home some lamb today, I have a feeling he’s going to be disappointed but we’ll give it a try. I’ve never cooked it before.

Ken's daughter has two cats. One is a new kitty. I had forgotten how rambunctious they can be. I cannot tell you how many times I have picked up stuff he has knocked off the kitchen table. That is okay though because I am going to count that as squats. heehee

They are sweet though. I had a cat(s) from when I was 18 until I moved in with my dad. I think as I have gotten older I am more of a dog person though. I do not want either one right now. Maybe one day when I get settled somewhere and go back to being a hermit.

I have had two cups of coffee and a nice quiet morning because everyone in the house is still asleep. I love it. If it was warmer outside, I would go for a long walk to prolong my solitude, if you know what I mean. View attachment 1002029
I do in fact, must have my alone time!

Yea, the office is closed for the holiday.

Never made lamb either. Good luck ;)

Glad to hear Ken slept better. Jealous of those afternoon temps. We made it into the 50s but the wind out there is a doozy.
Good evening Sara, had to ask DH what holiday it was.

Well we had lamb chops tonight and they were pretty good :thumb:
