Good morning lurkers

So the actual holidays we are closed and paid for are Thurs/Fri for Thanksgiving and Christmas/NY Day. The rest of the time is my vacation time. They are trying to steal Black Friday from us with every new contract but haven’t been successful at it yet. I have a feeling they will try to swap it out and give us Juneteenth. But I don’t want no rando day middle of June. I get that it’s a new federal holiday but how about maybe just maybe “you” just give it to us and not take something away.

Good morning. Trying to go back to eating right appears to be quite a challenge for me. We went to a new restaurant that my cousin said was good and she was right. Country-style steak, rice, gravy, collards, mac&cheese and cornbread. Yum. In my defense, I brought some of it home so Ken will have lunch today. We shared the banana pudding I go to go.

It is cool in the mornings but still getting up to the high sixties. I like this weather. I need to go back to the gym. I have not even been getting my steps in lately.

Ken is a bad influence. heehee No, it is not him. I have just been lazy. It happens. I just need to do something before it gets any worse. I am not obsessive about weight but it can get away from you quickly. Been there, done that. Over and over and over again.

A Temu order is out for delivery. Ordered it on the 6th. It has taken a little longer but still not too bad. I don't mind waiting. The bad part is I already have a cart full. I need to stop looking at that site.

Hey Sara, congrats on the kiddos award. I'm inquisitive. What was it for? I used to love seeing mine get little awards and do plays too.

In 1st grade, my son was an Australian. He did so well when he was speaking but then, he sat on the steps of the stage and picked his nose and everyone giggled.

I haven't thought about that in a long time. It's a good memory.

Good evening everyone

Yep. I use a good 2ish weeks during November and December. It’s been weird since the Covid shut down as far as clients. Some days it feels like old times and others it’s crazy busy.

The name of the award has escaped me at the moment, but it’s for maintaining High Honor Roll while participating in a sport. He keeps teasing me that he won’t be there, he’s going to class that day. He hates the spotlight. I loved all his chorus/band concerts, award/moving up ceremonies. Bummed those days are over. Next big ceremony will be graduation.

Finally went and got the stuff we needed for thanksgiving today plus a trip to Buff City soaps to get a small gift for DD, that was a trip to the other side of town.

DH is picking up Bela and they’re heading to the church for game night. I ate some leftover pot roast, hopefully DH will finish it off this weekend. Maybe not though because I kind of promised to fix him and Bela some butterfly shrimp this weekend .

In the morning I’ll have Kalli too while DH and DS do some floors.

Good afternoon all. It has been a couple of beautiful days here. We have been riding the bike as much as possible because at some point it will be too cold for Ken to take me around. He nixed my idea of heated suits.

Finally got back out to the Moose Lodge and everyone was so glad to see me. Bunches of hugs. They had ribeye steaks last night which was good but nowhere close to Bonbon's steaks. They do have an amazing salad bar. They had forgotten my roll that was supposed to come with the dinner. Ken said it didn't matter to him but of course, I wanted my bread and asked them. They put the rolls in the oven and brought us fresh and hot ones and they were the best I had ever had. heehee Although Ken said it did not matter to him, he gobbled up the hot roll and talked about how good it was.

Enjoy your day. I think we are headed out again because it is sunny and warm.

Hahaha Caffeine is a must when dealing with kiddos Kidding, but they sure do keep you on your toes. Hope you had fun. Glad your family will be around. I'm sorry you will be missing Lyriq. How is she doing?

Kad, fingers crossed for you as well. Don't know about you, but I am so not looking forward to winter. Although, it does mean less rain. I'm tired of all the rain we've been getting. We actually had to mow last weekend. Finally got the patio furniture covered today. It was still a little wet in some of the grooves but I will have to deal with that next spring.

And I totally meant what I said about putting it all away before summer is even over next year.

Jealous of your warmer weather, Rat2. I would have asked for the rolls too. lol Hope you're out there enjoying the breeze on your face.

Boys left for soccer and I'm still finding things to do, grr. lol Hope you all had a lovely day!!

Kalli was a good happy girl today Sara and Bela was my usual rock. Gosh I love those kids. I don’t know what’s going on with Lyriq Sara, we really don’t have contact with her when she’s with her mother.

Good morning all. It is 42 now but going to get up in the sixties. Another beautiful sunny day. I would not mind going out of the bike again. Yesterday was beautiful for riding but not so good for what I ate.

That's okay. It is another day and I can try again.

Since we are not going to TN for Thanksgiving, my aunt is expecting us at her house. Ken said it was fine with him so I guess that is where we will be. My cousin has requested my broccoli salad and deviled eggs. She is crazy about that salad.

My cousin who lives in South Carolina called me last night and said the only way I could eat supper with them is if I let him take my bike out for a ride. I told him I would drop off the salad and eggs then because I just did not see that happening. I know he did dirt bike racing when he was younger but that does not matter. He may be stronger than he looks but the first time I saw him a couple of years ago, I was careful when I hugged him because he is one of the littlest men I have ever known and I did not want to hurt him. He also reminds me of a tiny Keith Urbin. heehee Oh well. We will see. I plan on eating because his mother likes me and I am much better at saying no than I used to be.

Why am I up so early? Coffee. That's why.
