    Good evening everyone
    :)

Today was painful for several reasons, at least it was a light day. Randy was missing all morning as a horse stepped on him and he was at the doctor getting his foot checked out, he came back wearing a boot and on crutches.

DH fixed us some eggs for supper.

Good evening Dale and lurkers

Fran, hope your day was good and that you were nice and warm. I imagine it's just as cold there as it is here ;)

Ohh Dale, I'm sorry you haven't seen him yet. :( I hope things work out and you can see him soon. Yeeeesh, poor Rick. I can't imagine. Glad your day was light and that your Dh made dinner for you.

We had burritos. I tried something a little different this time. Mixed 1/2 lb ground turkey with 1/2 lb of ground beef and added a can of Bush's Black Bean Fiesta and some taco seasoning. Now I've been mixing beef and turkey for years (think it was a weight watchers or something similar tip) But I've never added beans to it and wow!! I will be doing that again. Stretches the meat and adds fiber/protein to the meal. Only downside is trying to figure out the nutrition so I can log it in my food tracker

Off I go to try to figure it out. Sweet dreams everyone!

I put out a few decorations today. Nothing big but it looks nice. We had the back of the Honda loaded with decorations. I thought now would be the time to take them and donate to the thrift store. Guess everyone else had the same idea. They took a few things but said they just couldn't take all of it. I will try the Outreach Center at the church Thursday when it opens. Maybe they will want to sell it. If I did not live on a dead-end road, I'd put them out on the street with a "free" sign.

Ken fixed supper for me again. Leftover chili from last night but he put bread in a big bowl, covered it with ketchup, relish and mustard, had a layer of hotdogs and cheese and then covered it with his chili. It was like eating a huge hotdog with a fork. He said his mom always made it when he was little and she called it a Scrambled Dog.

No matter what it was called, I thought it was tasty and I want it again.

Dale, I hope your dad has a good day soon and you get to visit. Moods can change in the blink of an eye. That is how it was me and my dad anyway.

It is as good as halfway to Fri-Yay. Hope everyone has a nice day.

    Good evening lurkers

Early to bed then, Dale ;) Hope your day was low key!

Boys had soccer practice and then training after that, so I was on my own. I had a big ole bowl of buttered linguine with shredded parmesan. dessert was peppermint crunch junior mints  zero regrets too lolol
    Hi Sara
Day wasn’t too bad, did a couple loads of laundry and made some bbq, we had sandwiches for supper tonight from that.

If I get sleepy enough I’ll definitely hit the bed early, working tomorrow.

I was busy today so I hope I sleep better. We took a truckload to the thrift store. All Christmas decorations. I got rid of mine and my parent's collection. Ken could not have got one more ball in the back of my Honda CRV and the seats were even laid down.

Ken said we could have a yard sale but evidently, I am getting lazy in my old age because I had rather donate it than fool with it. There were some really nice things. My mom was big on buying after-Christmas decorations at a good price. Most of the stuff was still in the package. Several artificial trees and a bunch of paper plates and napkins. Someone will enjoy them and that is enough for me to feel good about.

Hope everyone gets a good night's sleep and has a wonderful Thursday.

    Good morning lurkers

Faux Fri-Yay!! Woke up to a winter wonderland outside…yay….not!

Hope it goes quickly for you, Dale.

Rat2, I agree….we used to box stuff up for the annual yard sale every summer but as I get older, I’d rather toss or donate. Much easier.

Hope everyone had a wonderful day!

I was having some hazelnut-flavored coffee this morning but it just was not tasting right so I added half a bag of hot cocoa mix. Not bad at all. That should get me going. 1laugh.gif

I forgot to put out the garage yesterday like I always do so this morning I was trucking down, in my pajamas, in 36-degree weather, to the end of my street carrying my garbage. Since the service went up so high, I asked the woman down the street if she wanted to split the cost. She is older than me so I take mine down to her house. I know that sounds cheap, but paying $306 a year is ridiculous. $153 sounds more reasonable to me.

She is retired and lives alone so I think it helps her too.

Took the bike out yesterday and yes, it was invigorating, to say the least.

We ran a few errands. We were going to go eat but I did not think I had on enough warm clothes on so we just came home. I fixed Ken a huge baked potato with chili and cheese and fixed me a western omelet. We sat and shared them both since they were both tasty. We kept switching plates. It was sort of fun. heehee

Not sure what is on the agenda today. I went to the grocery store first of the week but Ken is already out of milk so I have to go back again. Grrrr He sure drinks a lot of it. Guess that is a good thing. I never drink it (unless it is chocolate, of course) and I haven't had a bowl of cereal in years. I do take a supplement for my bones though.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day. Hugs to you all!
