Hi guys :) Sounds like everyone is doing fairly well. Same here. Humidity too.

First night of nothing going on. Two soccer games this week where we didn't get home til almost 11pm. Thank goodness the travel season is during the summer when school is out. Except that doesn't help me much when the alarm goes off at 5:30

Definitely get those electrolytes in, Joey. Put a pinch of salt in your water bottle, guess that is supposed to help water hydrate you.

Ooof, Dale. 100 is torture. Hope you get some cooler temps soon. How is your friend doing?

Rat2, those flowers were absolutely stunning. Sorry to hear about the mower.

Have a great night all

Good morning! My internet went out this week too! It is sad that it bothers me so when that happens. I am way to dependent on the internet and my phone.

My aunt asked me to take her to close out her checking and move it to the bank I use. We already had everything set up a month ago but she wanted to make sure her automatic deposits were right (which they were). I am not sure why she did not ask her kids to do it but of course, I did not mind.

She was upset because her Spectrum went up $10 more. I am not sure if $160 is all that bad when she has internet, cable, and her home phone. I am not sure if she would want to learn how to use her Firestick. It could definitely save her money though. I converted Perry to the Firestick and he loves it. He said he was going to cancel his Prime and Netflix. I closed my Prime account 3 1/2 years ago and I have not missed it at all. I still get free shipping because it does not take long to get up an order over $35.

I took a shower, bath, shower last night! Took a long bubble bath. Boy Mr. Bubbles does not work the way I remembered it when I was a kid. Maybe Perry has hard water or something. It was still nice and relaxing.

I got some of the prettiest porkchops out of Perry's freezer. I like the Shake-N-Bake BBQ and Perry had never had it. He said he always fixed his chops in the crockpot. When I was in the bath, I heard him tell his friend about the supper I fixed for him so he must have been impressed. I enjoyed too. Perry told me he could not have gone anywhere to eat and gotten a meal that was as good as I fixed. I think I earned a point or two. heehee Wild rice, peas, slaw and a salad. It was rather tasty, if I say so myself. I was just pleased that I figured out his oven. I have finally gotten over my fear of using gas. I like it. It seems to cook faster too.

Happy Friday to all. Hope everyone has a nice weekend. I have no plans yet but that's okay. Stay cool all.

Happy Fri-Yay y'all :)

Dale, I'm really sorry to hear about your friend. Sending lots of prayers his way.

I agree about internet troubles. It is alarming how much we rely on it and the irritation felt when it goes out. We canceled all our subscriptions too. Have the firestick tv and I can find decent movies on the tubi or freevee app all the time. Spectrum is our internet. So we still have local channels etc.

Rat2, if you like parmesan cheese. I have a delicious pan fried/finish in the over pork chop recipe. The boys beg me to make them all the time. It's not an Italian/American parmesan covered in sauce etc dish. I'm not a fan of pork chops but even I like it.

Ugg, Joey. back on the 12 hours. I'm surprised with how poorly the crops are doing this year.

Good evening Joey and Sara

Truly sorry to hear about the 12 hour nights Joey, I’m with Sara, seems odd if the crops are not producing well.

Thanks Sara, he was moved to a rehab center today.

I had a baked pork chop and broccoli tonight, DH hasn’t been eating well the last few days. Something is wrong with him and he’s having lots of stomach issues including throwing up some. Had a c-scan today and they “think” it’s a blockage.

Good afternoon, Joey and Dale

    Big checks are definitely nice!

Glad to hear he was moved to rehab. Sorry to hear about your Dh, Dale. Hope they can figure it out and get it resolved. :(

Got our shopping done before the rain hit. Dreary day, but tomorrow should be better. Made french toast and bacon for brunch. Now I can putter around and relax. A new hire starts Monday and they are forcing all of us to train her for a week at a time. Lucky me gets to go first. I'm super stressed about that. I'm no trainer nor do I enjoy making small talk with a stranger. We are looking into filing a grievance because training is not in our job class but that can take a while to go through, so I'm stuck unless I call in for a few days. Very tempted to do that.

Hope you all are having a nice day!

Good afternoon Sara  I understand your discomfort with the situation but look at it as an opportunity to get her started off right . Besides you might actually like her. ;)

Relaxing on Saturday afternoon is the way to go

Good afternoon Dale, Sara and Lurkers

Dale sorry your hubby isn’t feeling well. So if the dr thinks it’s a blockage what are they going to do for him??

Sara I don’t like training people either, half of them only speak Spanish. Plus I really don’t like talking to people I don’t know or like anyway. Ive became very antisocial as I grow older

Bigger paychecks are nice I just want that big paycheck for a 40 week

Well they prescribed some medication for him but we can’t get it until Monday, I assume it’s something to break things up and get it moving. We’ve since learned it may be the results of a new medication he’s on for something else as someone from his church had similar symptoms while on it. We’re working on it.
