A big happy 38th wedding anniversary to you both! I think it is 38. Anything special happening? I can't wait til September. I always buy me a divorce present each year.

Perry stopped by today after he had lunch with his brother but I am not sure when he is going to get off work. It is wonderful that he works the amount of hours he wants to but I can't really start supper or plan anything. Doesn't really matter. I won't go to bed hungry. heehee

I am not sure how it will do but I googled different dehydrator articles today. We will see how my experiment does. I have grape tomatoes, cantaloupe, and fresh blueberries in there now. Might turn out to be a good snack. I can't wait to try the apples and pineapples. Perry also has an InstaPot. I have never used one of those but there are a bunch of recipes on line. I might have to give it a try one night too.

Hope everyone has had a good day.

Good morning all. Woke up to a cloudy day and 95% chance of rain. If I had not already made up the bed, I would go lay back down. I have been know to lay on top with a blanket so it is not out of the question. heehee

Had my coffee and now snacking on some beef jerky that I made yesterday. I sure do like Perry's dehydrator. He has never tried it but I am wanting to try some apples, pineapples, and anything else that sounds good.

Made a meatloaf, country fries with onion, bacon, and cheese, collards, and cantaloupe for supper. Perry seems to really like my cooking. I hope I did not hurt his feelings because I told him I was feeling a little too domesticated lately. heehee That's not my idea of a non-relationship. Oh well, I liked supper too!

Hope everyone has a great day!
    Good afternoon Rat2
I’ve done the same kind of napping not wanting to mess up the bed

Forgot to hit post on this earlier

Good morning all! Woke up to another cloudy day here. Expecting rain again this afternoon. YAY! Not!

I am going to have to do some more research on dehydrating. The blueberries are evidently going to take quite a while. I ate most of the cantaloupe and the semi soft grape tomatoes are going to be added to my next salad. I suppose their is a learning curve so I am not discouraged. I have the jerky down pat! heehee

I am expecting a delivery from Temu today so of course, I will be going home today. I have not been ordering near as much as I used to. I guess I have been to busy lately.

Hope everyone has a wonderful Fri-YAY!

Happy Fri-Yay everyone! Hope you all had a great day!

Happy belated Anniversary, Dale  Did you guys do anything special?

We have a Nesco SnackMaster (nothing fancy). I have done sliced apples and mushrooms (not together ), a couple bags of frozen peas and carrots and tomato skins which I ground into powder. I used it in homemade sauce for flavor and to help thicken. It's been a few years (covid days) since I did that mostly because I just don't have the time. Check out the fb group Dehydrating Tips & Tricks with the Purposeful Pantry.

We had an instant pot. I thought it would be a time saver for dinners. However, I did not realize it was just a fancy pressure cooker. It mostly got used for chili, hard boiled eggs and white rice. Then the pests in the pantry left me presents in the lid and I tossed it. No amount of washing/sterilizing would have had me using it again. I made a roast and nobody liked it, chicken breasts were rubbery but there was a pasta dish that turned out yummy. Another fb group Pressure Luck Cooking.

Looking forward to a quiet weekend. Have a great evening

    Good evening, Dale

mmm.. hope the quarter pounder was yummy. We had a quiet weekend as well. Spent most of both afternoons in the pool working on my tan  My parents came today and enjoyed it as well and we grilled out.

Not looking forward to tomorrow but what can ya do. I'm glad Bela is doing well and hope you all had a nice weekend together.

Enjoy the rest of the evening

oooof, I detest being woken unless it's an emergency. I also detest being the last to fall asleep when my bedmate snores loud enough to wake the dead

I'm a grumpster because it took forever to fall asleep ;)

You get him, in retirement, Dale
    Good evening Sara

Yeah DH snores terribly too, our kids could hear him across the house behind closed doors… poor things.
