Sounds like everyone is having a decent week
Kiddo decided to try out for Varsity soccer and made the team, so they are at the mandatory player/parent meeting. I got out of work late so I said I would just meet them home. Had a minute and wanted to stop in and say hello.
Other than that not much new going on here. Jealous of all your nicer weather though, that's for sure. It's either too hot or feels like fall. No in between, feel like there's not been enough sun either. Our garden did horribly this year.

It's F R I D A Y! It has been another fast week and a week where I did not get much done around the house.
I did get my teeth cleaned. For years, I have gone to a college to let the students clean my teeth. I think it is wonderful for them to practice on real people and I love it because it is so cheap. I had x-rays this time and it cost me a whopping $3.50. Of course, the downside is it takes so darn long to get it done. I was in the chair 3 hours and 45 minutes yesterday and I have to go back next week to finish up. It will not take long this time because all that was left was polishing my teeth. I do not understand why they could not finish but it is what it is. I do love getting clean teeth. I had one place that their dentist suggested I have looked at by my personal dentist. It is not a cavity but a soft place. Whatever.
Bought some thin-cut meat yesterday. I asked Perry if I could make some jerky. The meat place I went to did not have London Broil (like Perry uses) but I got Eye of Round and it looks like it will be fine. So after I get to Perry's house, I am going to dehydrate 9 lbs of meat. He has a big machine but it will still take 2 times. Boy is his house going to be smelling some kind of good.
What has everyone got planned for this Labor Day weekend? I just realized it was Labor Day yesterday.

I think she might have meant, she just realized yesterday that this weekend was Labor Day. But I might be wrong The summer sure flew by as it always does around here.
I know you are looking forward to getting past your hot and humid days, Dale. I could do without the ice and snow. lol
Tomorrow the usual, shopping and cleaning. We are doing a day trip to the State Fair on Sunday. We won't be gone the whole day because of Lucy. Just to taste some treats and see the animals. Monday is getting ready for back to school. Can't believe kiddo is in 11th grade now.

I know, Dale. We had our annual back to school chat last night at dinner. I told him, this year is going to go by fast but next year will be over in the blink of an eye.
Uggghhh, prices at the grocery store have gone up again on certain things. Eggs were $3/dozen. No sale in sight. Course at the next two stores they were even more. So, will have to make do with what we got and hope next week is better.
