Aw that’s okay, we all have those days
Going to town today to get a board to fix a step one of the workers broke last night. It’s one thing after another around here this year.

Wow, Rat2, you did get quite a bit chopped off. I love homemade chicken soup. I haven't made it since covid. We have a chicken in the freezer, I should make it a point to do it this fall. We ended up with 37 bags of corn, 16 bags of broccoli and 16 cauliflower in the freezer this year. Our garden didn't do squat so nothing really from that.
Awww, Dale. I'm impressed that your hot water heater lasted that long. Ours was brand new when we built the house and had to be replaced around 10, and yep we had the giant puddle.
Hopefully it's getting cooler for you this week, Joey. We've been in the 80's with nothing but sun for the last 2 weeks. This coming should bring 70s and rain.
Not much new here, between getting back in the swing of the school year and soccer games a couple nights a week. Work has been short staffed again and it's been crazy busy. I need a real vacation
Also trying to steer clear of electronics in the evening so I've been reading like a fiend. Think I'm up to 17 books since the end of August.

Night from hell last night it was hot inside the plant, 4 cookers went down and we only got 1 back up and running again. Glad it wasn't in my department even though I did help get the 1 running. 1 cooker needs a new gasket put on that will probably take most of the shift to replace. Hopefully the more experienced mechanics can figure out what happened to the other 2 cookers that randomly start crushing cans over that last week.
I will be going in late today I really don't want to get caught up in that mess

I got to go on my second double date last night. A friend of Perry's and his wife went with us to my fav little restaurant and we, of course, had ribs. They were delicious. We split the whole rack between the 4 of us and I still brought enough home for a couple of sandwiches. We each had gotten an appetizer so I was already full by the time the ribs got there. The sampler plate appetizer is a meal in itself. Everything was wonderful. Tomorrow is Monday so it will be back to trying to eat right. Emphasis on the word trying. I am not sure what has been going on with my appetite. It is ferocious.

That was the last thing that dad replaced and I could not believe they cost so much. One of those things though that you can't live without. Hot water is a friend of mine!

I made chicken veggie soup in the crockpot using my bone broth and it turned out pretty good. I sure did make a lot of it. It will freeze and be good on a cold night.
The rain is going on again and yesterday I made the mistake of lying down. I was feeling so poorly and I was cold. I thought I was coming down with something but it just turned into a 2 hour nap. It played havoc with trying to sleep last night. I finally got to sleep around 5 this morning. Grrrr

Did a lot of Temu shopping last night since I could not sleep. Do you remember how I always buy myself a special divorce-a-versary present every year? Well, this year I am getting a dehydrator (and a few other items, heehee).
I know I can go to Perry's to use his but I think I would use it more if it were at my house. He brought over some dried apples last week and actually thought he would get to eat some of them when he returned. He was wrong.
