Good morning Dale :)

It is 15 now but we are supposed to double that today. Hopefully it warms up some this week.

Sounds like you scored big at Walmart! Very nice!

Rat2, hope your aches are doing better. Glad the heater wasn’t too much to repair.

Starting to feel human again after being down with some sort of stomach bug. Going to venture out for groceries in a few minutes to beat the rush. Not looking forward to going out in the cold though. Lol.

Hope you all have a wonderful Saturday!!

Good morning Sara  I’m sorry to hear that you caught that stomach ailment :(. So far I’ve been very blessed not to catch anything this winter, a little surprised since I’ve been in the public a lot more than usual.

I’m quite happy with my little wardrobe increase, I desperately needed some warmer clothes.

Sorry you have to shop, DH offered to take me shopping but there’s nothing I want or need. Washing my work clothes at the moment.

Don’t have a clue what to do with it all
Yes, it is all so confusing and a bit stressful for me. I did a phone interview/application for my Medicare. I sure hope all the junk mail about insurance cease now. I ended up calling Perry's agent. She gets an idea of what you need and she searches and gets quotes from a bunch of insurance companies. She came back with a plan from United Healthcare. I sure hope I made the right decision. Who knows. I am relieved that that part is over.

I really had to complain but I am still having issues with my back. I laid around for several days and it did not help my back although my knee felt better.

I am worried that maybe I should cancel my knee procedure until I get my back better. It is more like a darn if I do and darn if I don't. I have waited so long to get my knee fixed. I just am worried about the recouperation period. Everyone knows it is hard on the body the older we get and I have been feeling rather aged lately.

We were supposed to go to Perry's granddaughter's birthday party Friday but they had to cancel because the whole family had the stomach flu. They said they may try to have it today but I do not think it is a good idea that I go. A stomach virus is the LAST thing I need after have my procedure done.

His granddaughter is so darn cute. She is 4 now. We did a FaceTime with her; one of her presents was a harmonica. She loves that thing. Perry told her that I played and could play with her. I don't know about that. I play the guitar, uke and harmonica but I never play with an audience. I am not really that good but I enjoy trying. I will say I can throw down on When the Saints Go Marching In.

Good afternoon Joey and Rat2
Just sitting here watching it rain, had a little sleet when it first started which surprised me since the temperature is 50 .

Really hope and pray you start feeling better Rat2!

We’re still gathering stuff for our taxes Joey, a little inheritance from dad is making it a little more complicated for us this year, it’s invested in various things.

    Hiya Dale

Hope it isn’t to complicated. I hate taxes it is such a pain. Mine will be easy I really don’t have much to claim this year.
Ours is usually pretty simple but it’s a little unusual this year, we’ll figure it out tho’.

    Good night everyone :)

Doing taxes is easy and simple. Money earned is taxed a slippery sliding scale based on the highest amount of snow that has fallen on the IRS headquarters in November of the year prior to the previous highest rainfall recorded shipboard on the Princess Cruise line’s main ship. However if the money earned was electronically deposited using 18650 batteries for power then the amount of taxes due is 1/2 of the value of the other half, unless the beneficiary is over 67 and has a blue bathrobe then schedule V applies.

    Good morning lurkers :)

Been up awhile but my brain is still asleep it seems, only got out of bed because I wanted coffee.

Well, I am glad I got some sleep yesterday because I was so afraid I would not wake up with my alarm that I did not sleep well at all. (I am used to getting up when I wake up) heehee

I was in the shower at 4:30 washing with the stuff they gave me and other than not being able to drink coffee, it was okay. The instructions where to wash everything but my face and genitals. Sheesh! I thought that would have been the important part.

I followed my instructions. Got there, got fixed got out. Everything went well. YAY! I am pretty sure they gave me something for the pain there because my back is much better.

I think the bed rest I am having will help even more. I love Perry's bendy bed. I can easily prop my leg up over my heart and raise the head to comfortably watch tv. I like this. I may get bored tomorrow though. I thought I would come home and sleep but I am not the least bit sleepy. Perry got a nap. Bless his heart. He's gone to pic up a bag of ice for me. I think that is pretty important to keep the swelling down. My friend Cindy daughter is a doctor and she is sending me some kind of ice machine for my knee. She is also bringing me a chicken pie. Perry had supper planned but I told him it will be fine tomorrow. Very nice of my friend. I might not have many but they love me!

Still 58 degrees and sunny. Just a beautiful day. Hope everyone is having a great day too.
