It was a good weekend if you consider eating most of it. It is not going to be pretty tomorrow morning.

Had a double date Friday night with the nicest couple. We went to the Moose because they had those wonderful crab cakes that I love. We all ate them and enjoyed. Perry always buys supper the first time he invites someone out. I think that is nice of him. He did not go back to the gambling machines that night. heehee

Perry started trimming my tree this evening. Still has a few more branches to cut. I scrapped my arm pretty good. Thank goodness I had big band-aids left over from all of dad's falls.

I got my new laptop in from Amazon. It was the wrong color and after looking at the model number, it was the wrong model. It could have been a mistake or it could have been trying to get rid of old inventory and hoping the person would not check. Either way, I sent it back. Then I bought one at Best buy and came home and found it $60 cheaper on Amazon. I went back to Best buy because they price match. They only match a product if it is from Amazon and not another seller on Amazon. That did not make sense so I returned it too. I am back to square one. I got out a very old 11 in Acer I used way before I moved in with dad and to my surprise, it still does work. I am on it now. I may take this one to Perry's but I still want a new one for me because mine has a cracked screen and it drives me crazy. It is so hard to be me.

Ken's daughter texted me and said my paperwork is in the mail. I am not going to get too excited yet but at least I am closer to getting things settled. I still think she has time considering it has been 345 days. Sheesh!

Hope everyone has a great start to your week.

Yay for getting your paperwork from Ken’s daughter :thumb:
Short lived gratification. She only sent the paperwork for is truck and not the motorcycle I have been pleading with her about so I could sell it. This is the best time of year to sell a mc. GRRRR

Sure wish this could have been an April Fool's Day joke, but sadly, it is not.

I am real close to taking a one more road trip to TN.

Other than that. . . The sun is out and I am not hurting quite as bad as I was yesterday. I am at Perry's today because he had to go to work and they are putting in Lumos internet at his house.

Hope your day goes by quickly, dale. Everyone have a nice day.

Good evening ladies

I think maybe the trip to TN is a good idea. At least then you can get it all settled, Rat2. That stinks about the laptop.

Dale, I hope your day went fast. I agree about things getting worse. Though I'm hearing about eggs coming down in price, for now anyway. If I were retired, I would get some hens, maybe a cow and a couple piggies. But I just don't have the time nor energy.

Cold today but the sun graced us with its presence for the majority of the day!

Enjoy the rest of the evening all :)

Good evening Rat2 and Sara.

Today was blessedly short for me, cow wandered off so Randy had to go find and bring it back. Turns out it was here for slaughter so you really can’t blame him for disappearing.

Sorry you didn’t get everything you needed Rat2. :(

My neighbors would probably shoot me it I started raising chickens and hogs

I have been looking a chicken coops and Perry said he would help me put it together. I still live in the county but the neighbors behind me do not. I am not sure if they would appreciate me having chickens although there is not much they could do about it. I still would not want to upset anyone. My neighbor used to have them and they never bothered me. I thought they were cute. Of course, every afternoon a big black snake would crawl across my driveway to go "visit" the chickens. When he came back by, I could count the number of eggs that he took. He chucked them down whole.

I went to Sam's today and the sweet woman that works in the eyeglass section told me how she got scammed on the phone. The caller said she never showed up for jury duty and she had to pay $500. I felt so sorry for her because she fell for it. She said there when her rent money. I offered to loan her the money and told her she could take her time paying me back. She hugged me and said she would be okay and I think was surprised by my offer. I have talked to the two older people in that department for years and years. They always kept dad's glasses fixed when he fell and bent them. I find it so hard to believe people would believe something like that without calling someone and checking first. But I know it happens. I still feel sorry for her.

My allergies evidently are acting up. I just took a couple of Benadryl so maybe I can sleep better tonight. I was stopped up last night and I woke myself up snoring. I have never had allergies before but I have read where they can happen at any time in your life. Guess it is my time.

Hope everyone has a nice night.

    Good evening ladies

We've had snow, rain and some really loud claps of thunder today. Scared me it was so loud and unexpected. I hope your warnings have expired early and that you all were spared, Dale. Ha! I have the weather on and tomorrow is going to be 65 :w00t:

While I enjoy beef, mostly hamburger lol, I think if a cow gets away from slaughter they deserve to spend the rest of their life in a sanctuary :lol::lol::lol:

That snake was definitely living the high life. I wouldn't have a problem with neighbors having chickens. I feel really bad for your eyeglass lady. People are sick.

Have a great evening all and stay safe!

Good evening Sara. Far as I know we’re out of the tornado warnings but are currently having severe thunderstorms. Apparently it’s pretty loud as I’ve been feeling the vibrations for quite some time. It was 80 here today.

We went to the Moose last night and they had Ahi Tuna over a grit cake with collards. It was delicious. The best part is we took Perry's motorcycle. It was a nice night and at 74 I did not get chilly or anything. Of course, Perry keeps most of the wind off of me.

He is fixing breakfast right now but we are going to mow my yard and then take my mower to do his yard. His really needs it. Going to be a busy day, methinks.

    Happy Friday!

    Happy Fri-Yay y'all!!

hopefully your crazy weather is done for now, Dale.

It will be a long while before we can pull our mower out, Rat2. I'm starting to see some buds on the neighbor's trees and flowers popping up in our flower beds. But the rest of the yard is a sopping mess. Yuck.

    Have a great evening :)
