Good evening Joey and Sara.

Lols Sara , we’re still getting pounded, tons of flash floods in the state. I would image downtown Hot Springs is pretty flooded, hopefully the sand bagging helps. This mess will continue through Sunday. We’re leaving town in the morning weather permitting and will be gone until Monday afternoon. I’ve asked DS to check on the house and make sure nothing untoward happens. Friend of DH lost his mother and we’re going to attend the viewing and funeral Sunday and Monday.

Yes, we got both yards mowed today. Thank goodness that is over with for a week. Only one of my eyes are watering and itching. I took a shower and washed my hair so I hope that helps.

Sorry about your hubby's friend. I hope y'all have a safe trip.

I somehow broke the glass on my CoolFire. I have a spare glass that came with the kit but I have never replace one. Thank goodness I brought a backup tooter with me to Perry's. If i had not, he would have had to take me home. I just can't be without it. I also have an emergency disposable in my shoulder bag. I bought it for Perry but he said it was too minty and it made him cough. I love the taste myself. It is strong. It leaves your mouth almost like you've rinsed your mouth out with mint mouthwash,

In continuing with my saga of truck woes, I did get the paperwork from Ken's daughter. All I have to do is print it out. The bad thing is that Perry's brother took it to a mechanic because he was interested in buying it. It threw emission codes and will not pass inspection in NC. Tennessee did not have those rules.

Perry's friend that runs a auto repair shop said it would be around $1000 to fix it so it would pass. I just hate to spend another dime on it. I am so tired of messing around with all this stuff. I don't know to fix it or donate it to the Veterans like I did his camper. GRRRR

Well, I am finished for today. I will think about this mess tomorrow, or maybe next week. heehee

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.

Hope your storms have calmed down, dale (especially for your travels). We are having beautiful weather but the pollen is in over-drive. Whew!

Perry is going to take his mower to his friends to have it fixed. He was going to do it himself but he never had the time. I think I would have gotten it fixed over the winter but he can borrow mine anytime. His friend does just about everything you can think of. And Perry always has to end up giving him more money than he asks for. He is my backup boyfriend because Perry rarely answers his phone and Tommy is always my go-to.

Hope every one has a wonderful Saturday. (I actually knew what day it was when I awoke, heehee)

Hi Rat2! Sorry you got lonely ;)

we’re home thank goodness! Flooding is terrible all over Arkansas, Pocahontas got it especially bad.
We drove in rain Saturday and Sunday, this morning was absolutely gorgeous but cold, as a matter of fact it was very cold up there in the north
    shock
Thank goodness we both took a jacket. Spent one night in Eureka Springs and one night at Pocahontas. Didn’t get to do much in Eureka as the weather was miserable, cold and rainy. I’m definitely going to have trouble getting up and out to work tomorrow as I didn’t sleep well at all.

    Good evening lurkers

Crazy busy couple of days for me. When I got home from work last night, Dh was making dinner. Thought I’d rest my bones til it was done. Ended up missing dinner  He said I’ve never seen you come home and crawl into bed before, figured you needed it.

I’m glad you made it there and back safely, Dale. I’m sorry for your loss and for the flooding. :( It snowed here today and will be bitter cold rest of the week.

Aww, Rat2, sorry to hear the truck is still causing you a headache. I’d only pay to have it fixed if you make money off of it. Otherwise, I’d dump it.

Glad we are mid week tomorrow. Looking forward to a low key weekend. Sweet dreams all!

    Good evening Sara.

We saw a few spits of snow up north between Eureka and Pocahontas on Sunday morning. We’re having a cold snap now that it has finally stopped raining but nothing like you’re experiencing I’m sure.

Flooding took out the bridge just down the road from us, thankfully we can get in and out the other direction. Sounds like it will be 6 weeks to several months before that bridge will be repaired or replaced.

    Good evening, Dale

omgosh! That's terrible. Hopefully once they get started it won't take that long. thank goodness you have another route you can take.

They are opening the office on Saturday to prepare for upcoming changes that will be taking place and crazy me offered to work it. I'll get 4 hours of comp time to bank, so that will be nice. We haven't had the opportunity to earn comp time since before covid now that the office isn't open late anymore.

Another cold one today but at least the sun was out. Hope everyone had a nice day!

Yeah I think it’s the getting started that will be the problem. I only go that way when I go to church, I’ll just have to leave a little earlier.

Lots of things are changing and quickly too aren’t they.

Was cold here this morning but it was pretty much perfect by lunch time.

Hello all. It was a long day. I cannot believe it has been 21 years since my mom died. I always get a bit sad and try to find something that occupies my mind. I trimmed all of Perry's bushes around the house and drug all the sticks and droppings to the road which is a good little piece. It looks really good. I trimmed one of his bushes and it had blackberry vines in it. I don't think he wanted those cut but he said it was okay and they would come back thicker next year.

Fixed a good supper too. And now I am laying in bed with a heating/vibrating pad on my lower back. Soon I will change it to my knee. I think maybe I worked a bit too hard today. I hope I will sleep good. I think I will.

I wanted to laugh so I started watching The Big Bang Theory from the start. It is funny but I think I will start Two and Half Men. I loved that show.

Hope everyone has a great night. Happy Friday eve.

We went to the Moose Lodge. They had Oysters Rockefeller. I did so well. I let Perry eat that and the huge baked potato, and I had a wonderful salad. They have a really good salad bar, and I love me some salad.

It is cloudy today, but at least it is not raining (yet) Not sure what we are doing today. I think we are going back to my house. I've been at Perry's all week and probably need to do some stuff around my house. It is stuff I probably don't want to do.
