    Good morning retired :)

Ugh doesn’t sound like a very pleasant day for you! Hopefully you get through it without too much damage to yourself. Savage lots have saved us a few times. When I got T-boned with my Buick we had to replace the whole passenger side and it was only because of salvage we were able to.

Yep... I had an old Ford Five Hundred that had a shift interlock solenoid go out. Bear in mind, this is usually a 10 dollar part, but because Ford buried it deep inside the shift assembly, you had to buy the whole thing, which at the time was over 500 bucks. Went to the nearest salvage yard and got a replacement assembly for 15 bucks. And it worked until the day the car finally died.

Good evening Dale and lurkers

Oooooo nice little visit, enjoy the time with her :w00t:
    Hey Joey.
Yeah she’ll be here a while, hopefully I won’t have to work or at least not much  This was my second week off so I’m wondering if I’ll be called back soon.

Anyway, have a good night everyone :)

Good evening y’all :). Lols I might put 5000 miles a year on a car if that.
The year Dad passed, I took his '09 Impala to get it inspected, and the guy there laughed and said he hated charging me because we'd only drive 57 miles.

Dad would not let me drive that car but he did let me go crank it up in the garage every Sunday to let it run for 15 minutes. I have put around 3000 miles on it in the last 3 years. I think I need to sell it even though it still have that new car smell. It only has 8000 miles on it and is in mint condition. Never spent the night out of the garage or rained on.

Went to the Moose on Thursday and Friday night. Such good food. Had meatloaf one night and a ribeye last night. After the steak dinner, Perry took me to Lucky's (a bar). They had an Elvis impersonator who didn't do Elvis justice, but it was fun to watch. He had all the right moves and the wardrobe.

If that's an Impala SS with a LS4, we need to talk.
I think it might be. It is a 5.3-liter. I am thinking about putting it on Marketplace for an astronomical price and see if anyone is interested. The small town that Perry lives in has a Friday night get together for old cars and hotrods. Perry said I should take it there one weekend. I just need to wash the pollen off and it is ready to go. I don't understand how so much pollen and dirt can get in a garage that I keep the door closed all the time. Sheesh!

Anyone watching Foundation? Season 3 started Friday night, and I have enjoyed watching it. It is a sci-fi/outer space kind of show.

Tonight is a kind of quiet night, and that is okay with me. I made chicken salad out of Sam's rotisserie chicken. I put salad topping on it that had dried blueberries, mangos, pumpkin seeds, almonds, and I liked it a lot. It is just a perk that it was such an easy supper. I like those a lot too!

Had family over again yesterday to swim and we had tacos in a bag for dinner. It must be a bag kinda summer lol. It was soo good.

Hope you all have a great day!

Hi Sara. Yeah it’s been a long time since I had a grandparent. Bela will probably get pretty bored but hopefully not too bad.

Wishing you a happy day also!

    Yep, if it's the 5.3 V8, it's an SS with the LS4.

Kelly Blue Book puts it at an average of $10,500. You might be able to get higher if you connect with the right buyer, though.

Me? I'd slap a Whipple supercharger on that sucker, beef up the transmission and suspension, and terrorize the kids that thought they had something that amounted to something.
