Went to the Moose tonight and had the taco salad in the edible bowl. I love those. I took a jar of Perry's salsa (that I cut up all the stuff) and everyone went crazy over it and wanted to buy some. It really is quite good. I go to Mexican restaurants now, and they disappoint me. Guess I'm spoiled.

I will probably be MIA this week. We are leaving for the beach tomorrow and will not be back until next Monday. The only reason we are coming back is that Perry has an appointment with the blood doctor to find out why his platelet count is so low.

After that appt., we are headed to Ohio. Perry found a great deal on some kind of lawnmower parts, and it is for local pickup. It will be fun. Perry has some family there, and we will stop by to see them. They wanted him to bring them some kind of hot dogs that they do not sell in Ohio.

It has been cooler here also and quite welcomed. It rained today, but that's okay because we got the yard mowed yesterday.

Hope everyone has a wonderful week.

In your nightmares
Good morning everyone

Have a nice time on your trips R2 and hope Perry’s dr appointment goes well.

My 2 nights off went by pretty quick  Right now I have 3 racks of ribs in the smoker, 1 rack is almost done the other need another 4 hrs to be done.

Got my lawn mowed and weed whacked the back patio bricks. I really need too spray weed killer around the back of the house.

Have a good day everyone

    Good morning Joey.
It’s a shame workers have to spend their weekends working around the house. :(

Maybe next year I will pay someone to do the landscaping. Should have my truck paid off by then lol
Sounds like a plan, we celebrated greatly when we got our house paid off. Haven’t had a car payment in many years, can’t even remember when. Did you know I’ve never owned a new car, can’t say I’ve missed it.

Had a dental appointment this morning, those two unexpected shots in my mouth were highly unpleasant lols.

The truck is my 1st new vehicle, the novelty has long worn off lol

    I hate dentist’s with a passion.
Good morning Joey. And lurkers. :)

Really, didn’t you know better? With the tariffs and all that’s going on I couldn’t afford one if I wanted to. Cars cost more than our house did plus the lot we bought next door.

Good evening, Dale and lurkers

Glad it's cooled off a bit for you guys. Anyone dealing with the haze from Canada? I've been dealing with headaches on and off for the past week and a half. Hopefully the wind changes soon.

Safe travels, Rat2. Have fun and keep us posted on Perry. Hoping the visit goes well.

Hope you all are having a nice weekend.

Good evening Sara. Not very cool here , it’s almost 8 p.m. and the temperature is 96 still.
DH and I spent the majority of the evening trying to assemble an E-bike I bought myself, we’re definitely getting old! Still haven’t figured out what we’re doing wrong with the seat, it won’t stay put. I thought I’d use it to go to work and back when the weather permits. My last attempt to ride a regular bike didn’t go so well lols.

Wishing you a restful evening and Sunday.

Hey there. We had a very nice time at the beach. I'd always heard so much about Ocean Isle, but I was not all that impressed. I only found 1 shark's tooth.

I loved taking my walks on the beach, though. Perry did not make it to the beach. It was a pretty good walk, and you had to go up a big dune, and he did not think he could do it. That's okay. He spent time with his grandkiddos, and that is what he wanted to do.

Everywhere we went, we talked to people who knew where we lived and some of Perry's friends. Like they say. . . it is a small world. We stayed in one of the cleanest rooms I'd ever been in, but it was also the smallest. It was more of a $148 a night closet.

The bathroom had to have a sliding door because there was no room for a regular door. But all I really care about is cleanliness.

We have an 11:15 appt. and then we are headed to Ohio. We will visit some of his family. I met them at the Christmas family reunion and liked them. When we leave, I think we are going to stop by Kentucky. I've never been to a distillery. Might be interesting.

Went to a Moose Lodge down there and oh my, what a friendly place. Had delicious salmon and listened to the band. One woman friended me on FB and said she worked cleaning Airbnb's and told me she got a great discount. Said next time we come down to send her a message, and she would hook us up. That is pretty friendly. Moose people are all pretty nice.

Talk to you when I get back. Probably just a few days. Hope everyone has a great week.
