Good morning Dale and lurkers

Loads to do but wanted to stop and say a quick hello. Glad you are ok, Joey.

Kids and parents/adults alike are out of control these days. It’s really crazy how things have become. I waited on a younger veteran yesterday who blew a gasket because he didn’t have what he needed at that exact moment. He was so rude and I was standing there mouth wide open. He came back to me after finding what he needed still complaining about the policy and snidely joked about ruining my day. I chose to take the low road because I should have stayed silent but I said my day is not ruined because I don’t allow people like you ruin it.

That is great news about Perry’s health, Rat2. I say go for the sports car. You only live once. Just shop around and I bet you’ll find one you feel comfortable in.

Have a great weekend, off to bake birthday brownies and get the house ready for company. It’s official, we have a 17 year old in the house. Grieving and excited at the same time, Dale ;) Enjoy allllllllll the time you have with your grandbabies!!

Off to the range today AND tomorrow. Found out yesterday that next Friday is a training day including a range evaluation (school in service day, no students on the campuses). Not too worried, as it's always a good day when you can pew pew for a while.

Evaluation already? How long have you been in the new job?

I have test-driven a bunch of convertibles. I am pretty sure that might have something to do with my back killing me. I am starting to think it is not meant to be.

I found a 2018 Miata MX-5 that had only 6,000 miles on it. Beautiful, and I could not find anything to nitpick except the price. After deducting their fees, the total would have been $28,000.

I did find a Mercedes SLK350, which I really liked, but I am definitely having second thoughts. I did buy a car, though, and I am quite pleased with it. It is a 2011 Lexus that was so clean. It may be an older car, but it is more advanced than anything I have driven.

Got some new headlights for Ken's truck (where he hit a deer). Perry installed one, but the side that was bent would not go in. After 4 Band-Aids, he decided to call a friend. Bless his heart. I am going to get it ready to sell along with the Honda CRV and dad's Silverado. I hope Dad's '98 truck will sell fast. It only has 59,000 miles on it and is in immaculate condition. He was funny about his cars.

Hope everyone is having a great week. I hope to have things settle down soon because I am exhausted.

Beautiful car! There is probably a good reason that I could not find a price. Way out of my budget.

Those links are for two different vehicles. Price is normally listed in the top paragraph that describes the car. For the classics that are in excellent condition, prices tend to go into the high 30s, which really isn't that bad when you see the prices they pay at auctions.

They have the Chevelle listed at 34,000 and the Camaro at 35,000.

OMG! I just looked again and they have this jewel!!!! Maple Motors Inc. - Hendersonville, TN

    '57 T-Bird convertable for 30,000.
