Ugh.. I've had it with the weather. Not a single change in sight for the next 10 days. Warm during the day, and not cool enough at night.

Then again, as soon as it gets "cold", we're all going to be .....ing about how we can't wait for it to warm back up.

I agree with your last statement, Retired. Grass is never greener and all that jazz. For us, I wish we could go back to having 4 true seasons. Now, Winter comes later and takes up half of Spring. Good luck with your evaluation.

How is work going, Dale? And your grands?

Rat2, congrats on the new car!

Not too much new here, just working, cleaning and reading lol Speaking of which, it's cold and rainy, perfect day for tea and a book :) Enjoy your Saturday, all!

I admit we’ve had a few really nice days recently and one morning I saw 55 :thumb: Summer is definitely not done with us though.

    Hi Sara.
Work is becoming more unpleasant and I’m planning to try to retire … again… in November.

Our oldest granddaughter is having some problems, the rest are doing good. Lupin is growing like a weed, he’s a climber like his dad was at his age, driving DS nuts  Kalli is her usual hyper self, super sweet though. Don’t know about Lyriq, I hope she’s doing well out there in Oklahoma. Miss her.

Your weather sounds like something I would really enjoy once I can stay home again ;) Just substitute coffee for the tea.

Finally decided to install a dash cam in the car. Ordered it last week and it's supposed to be here on Tuesday. Seems each passing week I run across more idiots running stop lights, illegal turns and lane changes, and a whole host of other incidents that finally made me pull the trigger on one.

Not going to run a hot wire to leave it on all the time, but I did run across a neat gadget that will allow me to install without running a metric mile of wiring to power it up.

These are adapters that connect into your rear view mirror (for those that are powered for auto-dimming). Wiring stays up high and hidden allowing a fairly quick install. I ordered a Garmin Mini 3. Don't want (or need) a fancy model that all but cooks your eggs for breakfast. Wanted a small footprint that won't clutter up the windshield.

I'll give an update after it's installed and I run with it for a while.

Hello all. It has been another fast weekend. We worked so hard on cleaning out my shed. Took a trailer load of stuff over to Perry's. Where he lives, you can put anything out on the street and the city will pick it up. When we came back from supper, everything that had a motor on it was gone. Guess someone beat the city. I could not find anyone who wanted two wood chippers and a tiller. I just wanted it gone.

Today was rainy (which I predicted last night because I have been so sore). Perry had never seen Reacher, so we started binging it. When I am not feeling well, I always want some egg drop soup, so we picked it up and brought it home. It was nice on a rainy and damp day.

Hope everyone has a great start to their week.

Same here in NC. I miss them too. We had such nice snow when I was little. Now we may have a dusting. If it true what they say about acorns, we might have some bad weather this year.

I been reading about the weather expectations for this year, sounds like we’re in for it.

Uh huh. And that's from individuals who still keep their jobs even when they get it wrong. Better to get one of these instead.

**sigh** I've been using a sonic cleaner for my eye glasses for a couple of years now. The last time I cleaned 'em, I noticed the lenses weren't as pristine as usual. Didn't think much of it. Dropped 'em in today and it appears the protective coating on the lenses is totally shot with what looks like tiny bubbles covering the entire lens. Danged store doesn't open until 10am and I have to be at work by noon. Looks like this will be a two part visit, eye doc tomorrow morning and the glasses store on Wednesday. Thankfully, I have my old pair handy which will have to suffice for the next couple of weeks. If I recall, the last pair took about 10 days to get made and shipped to the store. Going to see just how good my insurance is through the school district real quick.

    Good morning, dale. :)
Good afternoon Fran. I slept an extra hour this morning so my time before work was cut short. Got a new girl working, she’s doing pretty good except for not knowing what any of the cuts are. I learned today that she she doesn’t eat red meat so it’s no wonder. However she told me yesterday she and her husband shot 7 deer last year … I didn’t say anything about deer being red meat.

    Good evening everyone

Not much going on here other than work. We have about 4 more weeks of running full time then it will be partial runs of potatoes and a variety of beans.
