I’ve been unable to connect for quite a while, some problem in Chicago.

It was worldwide. Cloudflare took a huge dump and it caused all sorts of havoc.

I finally shut down the notebook and read for an hour before having to go into work.

And someone really screwed up on that one.

No wonder there are so many horror books about artificial intelligence.

    In your nightmares
    Good evening everyone

Yesterday started off bad, the pvc drain pipe for the kitchen sink came apart at a coupler. Got a temp fix for right now until the weekend, I need to cut out a small section so I can fix it right. Had to buy a new wet/dry vac while I was at home depot buying what I needed for the pipe. The guy I bought this house from did not know what he was doing when he renovated this place.

Hope you all have a great night

    Hi Joey.
Sorry to hear about your sink problem, we’ve sure had our share of that. It’s a royal pain for sure.
Wishing you a pleasant evening too. :)

Many moons ago, I owned a house in San Antonio and one of my dogs ripped the dryer vent out of the neighbor's house. The whole 12 inch length of it!

The following weekend, neighbor and I are trying to figure out how to attach the thing back in. House had that horrid T1 siding that is hard to nail anything into, and once you do, it doesn't stay. So I figured we'd try for the wall studs inside the house. Grabbed a penny spike, started tapping it in and as I got through the siding, felt some resistance. Asked the neighbor to go in and see if it was a stud or something else and he says "Oh hell, give it a hard whack!". So I did. Next thing we hear is water leaking out of the water pipe I just punctured.

We shut the water off, cut a chunk out of the siding and I'm thinking I don't have ANYTHING that I can use to fix a brass pipe. Billy doesn't have anything either. I say hold on, and head into my garage.

Came out with a rubber plug, a rubber strip from an old inner tube, and a hose clamp. Stick the plug in the hole, wrap it with the rubber strip, and tighten that sucker down with the hose clamp. Turn the water back on and VOILA! no leak!

Fast forward 5 years, Billy has since moved, and the new neighbor knocks on the door and asks if he can go in the yard to check something on his house. I put the dogs away and let him into the yard. I look out the window and he's staring at the dryer vent. I go out to check on him and he's standing there scratching his head, looking at my patch job on the water line. It had finally started to leak, 5 years later. He's mumbling something about what idiot did that, and I promptly threw Billy under the bus. Looked at him straight in the eye and said the previous neighbor was from Arkansas, and you know how THEY fix things!

A couple of weeks later, I'm visiting Billy and told him what had happened. He thought it was hilarious.

Nope... You would think that reducing your liquid intake an hour or so before bed would help cut down the number of times you have to get up in the middle of the night to go pee.
