I will announce to y'all that Perry gave me a diamond for Christmas. I can assure you it is going to be an extremely long engagement and definitely no "commitment" ceremony.

I have told him that I did not want a serious thing, so he had a friend of ours go to the jewelry store and help him. He bought me a beautiful birthstone with diamonds all around it and matching earrings, but we ended up taking it back, and we picked out a diamond. He wanted to make sure I got what I wanted. Of course, I had picked out a little dainty ring, but it was a lab-made diamond, and he would have none of that. I don't really understand, but he ended up getting me a beautiful diamond with clusters all around it and down the band.

Here is a part that y'all probably will laugh at. Perry should have known me better. I told him I would go buy a bunch of purple (my birthstone) clothes, but I could not wear it with any other color. Another one of my little issues. And that is why I ended up with a diamond. It goes with everything.

Just sharing another crazy part of my life. It is hard to be ME!

    Mornin' all.

Lab grown diamonds don't hold their value. Natural diamonds do, but it's not because of their so called rarity. Natural diamonds are held by one or two conglomerates who dribble stock into the public domain to keep prices artificially high. If they were to dump their entire stock into today's market, diamond prices would plummet and never recover. So when a jewelry store claims diamond prices are high because of the rarity of the stones, it's true and it's not. They're rare because De Beers keeps it that way.

Oh... Congratulations. And warn Perry... If he makes you cry, we will definitely make him cry.
